Great location in the middle of the historical centre. Security was very good. Staff were very friendly.
Major renovations were ongoing and was very noisy during the day. Some facilities were not available, such as the gym, and we were not informed. Overall, we had a good experience here but we would've appreciated a heads up about the major construction.

The staff really really bad. I arrived at 10 pm and was told they didn't have staff to unload my luggage. The staff was unfriendly and apathetic the entire time. At breakfast, they didn't clear your plates and were slow to serve you. Very poor service from all the staff.

The location is great!
There was no hot water for three days we were there. And this wasn't just a temporary malfunction, they told us that the hotel heater cannot keep up with the demand.
We were very disappointed. Being able to shower is one of the essential things every hotel should provide. If we had known that, we wouldn't stayed there.

The staff at Conde de Lemos Arequipa is outstanding. The front desk staff was especially welcoming and helpful, during check-in and whenever I had questions. They attain the perfect blend of professionalism and friendliness that is so important in the hospitality industry. I was also very impressed with the housekeeping staff. The room was very clean, and the ladies made sure I had everything I needed. Overall, it was because of the great staff at Conde de Lemos that I had such a great experience.
During breakfast, I could hear the staff gossiping in the kitchen around the corner from the dining room. While they were not discussing anything inappropriate, nor did I hear any expletives, it was distracting and did not meet the professional standards adhered to by the front desk and housekeeping personnel.
I was surprised the rooms do not have "Do Not Disturb" tags to hang on the doorknob. These tags provide a convenient way for gusts to communicate with housekeeping, and are an industry standard.

Centrally located but quiet so you couldn’t hear the traffic. The breakfast was decent. We could keep our backpacks at the hotel after checkout

The staff were very hospitable and tried their best to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
We had a terrible first night, without a wink of sleep, in a loud room without a cot for our baby when we requested a quiet room with a cot. The next day the staff gave us the cot and their best room to make up for the problem we experienced. The cleanliness needs work (the floors were dirty with hair and shower over bath didn’t drain quick enough and other people’s hair came out of the spa jets).
