Poor
I informed the staff that I wanted to extend my stay at the hotel.
They told me there were no available rooms, but they would check and contact me.
I waited, but no one reached out to me.
The next day, I asked again to confirm, and still no one contacted me.
Because of this, I had to leave the hotel and rent a private villa in the resort.
Later, I was surprised to find out that there were empty villas available at Rotana, but this option was never offered to me.
And for that it was disappointing,

Amazing place to stay, definitely would visit again.
Since there is golf cars available for guests I'd recommend it takes you on a full tour of the resort before taking you to the room.

We stayed in Rotana Hotel for 3 nights. It was one of the best resorts we ever visited!
The resort is huge and you can spend full day in the resort as it has everything you might be looking for.
The staff (ALL OF THEM) are always smiling, trying to help, and very welcoming.
The restaurant, Saffron, buffet was SUPER TASTY. The breakfast and dinner had a huge variety and the taste was incredibly amazing.
Special thanks to Mr. Ibrahim for his help during our stay.
Room Decor could be improved.

The facility is rotten! Pillows, mattress, bed cover, wooden doors, closets, and even lamps are rotten! Food is very poor and taste bad, club is low quality. Our stay at Rotana was free of entertainment!
Rotana standards seems extremely low, We shall never try any Rotana facility again.

It’s well mentioned from outside, green comfortable for walk
Room are odd , very old concept , furniture chipping, lack of shelves on cabinets , lack of hooks in bathroom . If you are family and staying more than 3 days you will need to figure out how to manage your stuffs. Only one seating chair in family room , no carpets or rugs . Stepping out from bed it’s hard floor , always feels dusty . With small kids kind of uncomfortable. For 5* hotel pillows / mattress has to be upgraded to orthopedics option , they were hard like stone.
Beach was under construction and that we got to know upon check in. Staff from swimming pool, guest service were careless . Very relax in off season, offered us ( family with small child ) to go and get packed in plastic towels by our own , he was busy talking to his coworker .

Everything was great! The staff in particular were wonderful, breakfast was varied and delicious, the pool and beach were great. There was an even an excellent magician performing! We’ll definitely be back!

Me and my friend got bed bugs from our bed!
We first thought it was a mosquito bite, since everyone also had a few, but we were sleeping on the same bed and after leaving the resort it was still spreading and doctors confirmed bed bugs!

Disappointing
Disappointing Stay – Not Worth the Price
We stayed at Rotana Beach and Resort and, unfortunately, our experience fell far below expectations for a 5-star property.
Check-in with Amr was smooth and welcoming — he was friendly and accommodating, especially with our early arrival. However, our initial room was a major letdown: it was extremely humid, had a strong unpleasant odor, and shockingly, we found two lizards inside. Thankfully, Amr assisted us with a room change, which we appreciated.
The new room was better but still showed signs of poor upkeep — a broken door key detector and several maintenance issues like damaged doors. For the price paid, we expected far better room conditions.
Breakfast was average, but the chef at the egg station was unacceptably rude. When we politely asked about eggs Benedict or poached eggs, he responded with an abrupt and dismissive "no" — twice — with zero courtesy. It was disappointing and did not reflect the service you'd expect at a 5-star resort. On the plus side, the waiters during breakfast were polite and attentive.
Dinner at the beach bar was the highlight of our stay. The waiter who served us was professional and made us feel more welcome — a small but much-needed positive moment during our visit.
Overall, while there are some staff members who clearly care about guest experience, the resort struggles with basic maintenance and consistent service standards. Sadly, we didn’t feel we received the value promised or expected.

Disappointing
Breakfast was ok. Location was good. We hired a car so could drive around. The Lobster restaurant nearby was great with lovely food and hosts. Lovely setting, but see the serious problems with humidity, damp and water, below in our room, which was indredibly disappointing. The four star review is generous (probably closer to 1 or 2), but takes into account that the staff were lovely and tried to help where they could. But fundamentally, you cannot rent that kind of damp wet room out to anyone, and hope you don't again.
Ok where to start. I cannot lie and it is best I give an honest review as I have for all the reviews I have left on here. Quite frankly, this was an uncomfortable and unpleasant stay. Perhaps it was the record breaking humidity levels (I hear), or there are fundamental problems with some of these properties, but from the moment we arrived until the moment when we complained (which we should have done sooner, and with respect to the staff, they handled this brilliantly and moved our room), but the room we were first in, was basically uninhabitable. The floor was soaking wet with condensation, the door to the balcony was warped and difficult to close, everything was constantly damp (to the point that my wife started to feel ill), our clothes were damp. A piece of paper left on the side became damp as if it had been held under a tap. Truly dreadful experience. The internet was intermittent (wifi seemingly going down regularly - again, maybe to do with the weather?). Once we complained, the staff to their credit moved us to a better room. It was far drier (still a little damp), but habitable, and comfortable. They also kindly gave us a free dinner - so thank you. Our last night staying with you was a lot more comfortable, but I think the hotel needs a massive spruce up - it is showing its age. And honestly, I don't think you can rent those rooms out (like the first one), when they are so wet with the weather/humidity. When the internet and phone went down, this was also not satisfactory. - say a slip on the wet floors, and there could be a real and genuine serious emergency (with no means of contact). These rooms either needed to be sealed better, or maybe fitted with a dehumidifier, but until these problems are fixed, we cannot recommend staying here. At breakfast when we saw another couple with a young baby, my wife commented to me, that whilst we could maybe handle it (despite how unpleasant it was), how would a family with a young child cope?

The room was very well designed for amazing comfort and the fact that we could walk to the beach at will was out of this world. The property is so well laid out that walking aorund is both pretty and relaxing. Every breakfast and dinner experience was a pleasure not just by the lavish spread but the super staff who make things very simple. A special mention goes out to head chef Mr Rumon (sorry if i got the name wrong) for taking a special request every single day and to Mr Altaf for always greeting us with a great smile and a hot cup of tea!
There are very few vegetarian options for room service although the repsonders were very acommodating in providing what they could each time we asked.
