The property has a nice layout with multiple hotels within the Hawana Salalah complex and decent landscaping around the lagoon. Check-in was smooth, and the reception staff helped bring a delivery to my room when my son was unwell. The breakfast spread was adequate, and the general ambience around the lagoon area was peaceful in the morning.
Despite booking a Deluxe Ocean View Room, I was given a partial pool and lagoon view. The hotel uses colored hand tags to segregate guests based on nationality and package type, which creates a very uncomfortable and discriminatory atmosphere. Many facilities, including bars and beach areas, are restricted depending on the tag, and guests are not even allowed to pay to access them. My room had maintenance issues (bathroom leak, loose phone, cramped toilet), and the face towels looked unhygienic. Reception couldn’t even provide a simple syringe for my son’s medicine, and there’s no doctor on site. The Wi-Fi was open and blocked VPNs, making it insecure. The “beach” area is actually a lagoon, not the open sea.

We stayed from 20-25Sep, our stay was great except the weather was very humid as we missed the fall season. Special thanks to the incredible staff in the reception ( Dahy ) - the room service team were all very helpful - the restaurant team ( Mr.Khaled - Chef Hesham - Wael- Morad - Moses) and lastly Charity from the car rental office. We had the best experience because of them. Would definitely recommend the resort to family and friends.
Some areas were under construction - 2 beaches were closed - low activity because out of season.

The hotel was great and the rooms were spacious. The kids very much enjoyed the pools and going around the beach. The golf car was their favorite part of the day going to the marina. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We tried the open buffet for breakfast & dinner and it was absolutely worth it! The water park is worth trying for sure.
Though the location is a bit far from the city but gives more privacy.

The room is spacious and very well maintained by the housekeeping team: thank you Mustafizur. Rezk at the restaurant is such a great host: warm, professional, naturally elegant, and dynamic, I hope he is recognized for that ! The team is great, from the security at the entrance of the hotel, to the team on the phone for in-room service. The hotel is well located: next to a little grocery and restaurant: cafe. You can have long walks along the beach, rent a bike, the swimming pool is large and well maintained. The food is great.
The AC was very high in the corridors leading to the rooms , it should be at higher temperatures. Would be nice to have a space for kids in the lobby while they wait for check-in or other. Incident: the day to leave the hotel I have asked a staff to add some items to my luggages that were stored in the luggage room. He said okay. And I received a call while at the airport informing me that these items were still in the hotel and not added to my luggage. I had to ask a local guide to run back to the hotel and get back my bags in the rush before my flight. I would have appreciated more care and a clearer communication from the staff who said would take care of it.

It's a four-star hotel; I don't understand why people are calling it five stars. There are mosquitoes, power surges, devices not working, and the location is too far from everything.

It didn’t meet the basics of a resort, it is a waste of money and need renovation and its for sure not for relaxing!
