Very Good
The hotel's location is exceptional on a beautiful part of the coastline. It has a long beach line with beautiful soft sand, and in the right weather I could imagine the possibility of surfers enjoying their time there if allowed. The set-up of the villa complex is also great. As individual villas they are spacious and with complete amenities (with the exception of bigger cooking instruments, of course), a nice and spacious bathroom, and a private pool. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and, in fact, this did not seem like a resort but a community in and of itself. It was empty due to the fact that the Khareef tourist season had just finished, so client-staff communication was clearer and more direct. What set this experience apart from any other is the level of customer service and care the hotel provided. When it was indicated that my wife and I are visiting for our 10th wedding anniversary, the hotel took great care in giving us all we would think of by way of congratulations: a custom message on our villa door, flowers and balloons on our bed and, most importantly, provided us discounts on some purchases like F&B and the couples package for our spa session. This is definitely the greatest part of our entire stay.
Even though the staff were very friendly and helpful, they were not present enough at the side of the pool opposite the main building, so we had to inform the towel kiosk attendant to call the restaurant and ask a waiter to come take any orders. The remote controls of both TVs in the villas were defective. The one in the living room would not unmute the TV (the volume level was stuck at 0 and would not go up when the button was pressed), while the one in the bedroom wasn't responsive enough. These definitely need seeing to.

We stayed at this resort more than six years ago and we wanted to experience staying here again in the Khareef Season. Some things did change, but this hotel still was a great choice. Check-in was simple and easy and all staff members were polite, Helpful , nice and friendly. Our one bedroom garden view Villa was very clean. The gardens and the hotel are very well maintained and taken good care of. They have a small farm where they grow some of their food that they use to serve in their restaurants. Again, this is our second time staying here and I do not regret it. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I would definitely return here again.
I have to say that the food in the hotel is very expensive so keep a budget for that. The food is very good, but not the greatest. Like I said, the staff were very friendly but sometimes I felt like it was over exaggerated I am not sure if they were trained that way, but I wish if they could tame it down just a little bit we are friendly people, but sometimes it could get annoying this is not a complaint just a piece of advice for the hotel.

I stayed at Al Baleed Resort Salalah, in a 1 Bedroom Garden View Pool Villa (176 sqm), for 4 nights. This resort is the First luxury ”pool villa” resort in Salalah. The villa is surely spacious and beautifully designed. . Staff:- Mr Mohammed Al Shahri (Reservations Agent) was very accommodating on the phone. Miss Athari from reception was very welcoming . I was presented with Omani Frankincense welcoming drink upon checking in. Lady Kawkab from reception was so so generous, she always offers Omani Frankincense drink every morning ! I was happy to receive and enjoy this refreshing drink. Miss andrea & team (Housekeeping staff) did a great job. Mr Mohammed Hassan from laundry was super quick and cheerful. Mr Abdul rehman from room dining was sweet and helpful. Mr Laxman from Sakalan was the ultimate host, he has a good experience in hospitality, he was so friendly and hospitable. . Dining:- Sakalan’s breakfast was OK, the Karak tea was average (lacks spices); the food lacks flavor, and the dining hall lacks proper ventilation because cooking smell will be lingering In guests cloths ! Ventilation was not working! I had lunch of Omani vegetable salona (stew) with rice from the monsoon menu, the stew was hearty but lacks spices and the rice was fluffy. . I truly enjoyed my stay and I will be back for visiting Jebel Akhdar Anantara, next year.

For the price and 5-star rating, this hotel was a major disappointment. The crib provided had no proper mattress—just a thin pad with metal bars sticking out, making it unsafe for my child to sleep in. We had to use a cushion from the sofa to make it usable. Breakfast was extremely limited, mostly Indian cuisine, and nowhere near what you’d expect from a 5-star hotel. There's no complimentary spa access, and the treatment prices are ridiculously high. Overall, not worth the money.

the resort had such a relaxing atmosphere, the staff were always attentive and friendly, and the amenities were top-notch, whether it was the beautiful pool, the delicious food, or the comfortable rooms. I just want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone at the hotel who was so kind and helpful. Your friendliness and support really made my stay special. Especially Mr Rami , Ms Kawakeb , Miss Mitra, Miss Marichel , Mr Yashi Thank you all so much. I would like to thank the management and the staff at the resort, especially Mr. Adel Al-Lawati, who was cooperative with everyone, helpful, and always ready to assist us with every detail of our stay at the resort. A warm and genuine thank-you can go a long way.

Hotel location and facilities were very good . The hotel staff were supportive . Room was good size along with the bathroom .
The check in was below standard , the receptionist could not find the second booking despite telling her we do booked two rooms . the second failure after finding the second booking they asked me to pay for the second room despite the hotel withdrew the money from my card . Third failure when i asked for a paid late check out the receptionist said they will be fully booked from Friday , on Friday i extended my stay by booking two rooms on same categories for one night .

People are very nice, bed is very comfortable.
We couldn't swim in the ocean the whole trip because of the strong waves. Food at different restaurants is very very average. SPA treatment is below average.

The rooms were clean and spacious and lovely bath tub in the middle of the room. The ocean was fantastic. And swimming pool was good
The price value for the service was unjustified. The service team was unorganized and noticeably trying to make more money in every step.

the villas were amazing. service was very good. the private pool and cabana was spacious. It was expensive but you get what you payed for. my kids loved the gnocci.
The italian and other dishes were good, but the asian food was very averageand faily bland. The thai and malay/indonesian dishes were very european styled and not authentic, even the chilli sause seemed muted.

This location is beyond imagination, even if we are a regular Anantara customer. Location is right on the beach, everything is super-clean, food is amazing in all restaurants and staff is extremely polite. We will come back for sure!
