Place very quiet, right choice for relaxed time to spend. Staff very friendly, ready to help and assist. Choice at breakfast as well as menus in all restaurants must satisfied all guests.

Property was beautiful and very relaxing
The time between 10am-12pm you’re unable to order any food. I tried at a pool and they said nothing was available except coffee. It was very disappointing that there were not fruit platters, nuts or even smoothies offered during this time. Especially? If you go to breakfast early. I was told to go back to my room and order something. For such a high end hotel I expect to be able to order snacks while I’m relaxing around the pool.

Amazing birthday cake. The best chocolate cake I've had.
First room we had was terrible. I would have gave the room 4/10, it was very small. Bathroom in rooms hallway. Shower didnt feel clean. AC dripping water and didnt work well. Blinders didnt do much. Just bad experience.
But thankfully that was only one night. And I upgraded my room. To much nicer 9/10 experience. i had nothing to complain about.

Amazing staff and excellent service throughout the hotel. The pool area is exceptional, especially the chlorine-free long pool and the overall view are beautiful and well maintained. Even the cleaners were outstanding. A special thanks to Naher, Nasser and the superhero Mahmoud for their exceptional care and attention.
Everything was superb, but I would love to see more healthy food options at breakfast.

We arrived a little early, and were checked into our room with no issue. The rest of the day until 4pm, when we had a tour booked, was spent just relaxing around the hotel having a coffee and cake and walking along the beach path.
We enjoyed the beautifully calm atmosphere with the water features, the breakfast offering and variety was superb. Always very friendly and helpful service and the swimming pools at the end of our second day (100-meter pool) was absolutely amazing and we stayed until well after the cauldrons were lit. The room service updates were exceptional.

Design and facilities of the hotel are amazing. Even though the hotel is more than 20 years old, everything feels modern and up to date. Friendly staff, very helpful and amazing food options.
Compared to similar hotels in Oman (Jumeirah, Shangri-la etc.) the location of the hotel and the beach are not as nice. The beach is clean and access only for hotel guests but the views, the water etc. are not comparable unfortunately. Also something to consider is that food prices are very high (i.e. a salad costs min. 20EUR), however portions are quite big.

There is everything to like when staying at the Chedi. Its amazing reputation is well deserved! From the driver at the airport, the concierge, check-in, pool staff and the waitress who was run off her feet yet looked after everyone so well, every moment was made to feel special.

Everything! We had a n amazing time at The Chedi Muscat in late August & the staff were all very friendly, cooperative & helpful. Form Sultan who checked us in to Adil as the concierge, Bulushi at the pool restaurant, and Morris making sure we were all taken cared of. Food was all great, amazing deserts, unique pools and great gym.

We had a fantastic stay at The Chedi. The hotel has excellent facilities - quite modern, but with a distinct Omani style. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, and serviced regularly and invisibly for the guests. The main restaurant (which has a funky name - The Restaurant) provides fantastic breakfast and very high-quality a la carte dinner (not cheap!). Of the hotel facilities there are several highlights - an excellent gym, which is a joy to visit, a very long swimming pool (over 100m) and striking night views of the hotel territory, when the lights are on and live fires are set in special bowls here and there. Special mention goes to the hotel staff who gave us great care and attention, everywhere really - at the reception, at the restaurant, in bars, at the pool and in the gym. I have to say special thanks to Ahmed, the barmen at the Serai pool bar, who was particularly warm and friendly to us and also showed to us what the legendary Omani hospitality is like in real life. Not much to do for younger kids, but otherwise an excellent choice for families and couples.
If I really scratched my head to find something which requires improvement at The Chedi, then two things come to mind. (1) The beach could be made a little friendlier to those guests who prefer to swim in the sea as opposed to staying by the pool (which of course does not mean that the beach is bad, far from it); (2) the conditioners in the rooms are quite noisy (maybe it is a matter of the right settings and the guests just need a little guidance on that).
