Breakfast was exceptional Please read notes attached Muscat. The city of Muscat is small but spread out, places which look close on a map take a long time to get to. Most beaches are clean with showers and changing facilities, and sea swimming is good. Visitors must be reminded that most shops, excluding large malls, close at 1300 hours and do not re-open until 1700 hours, [e.g. A visit to Al Seeb in the afternoon was like being the last persons on earth!]. Visas. No problems for British or Chinese passport holders [and probably others] with more than 6 months remaining validity. Visa on arrival is FREE for up to 14 days. Immigration staff are particularly welcoming and helpful. City Seasons Hotel. Breakfast is truly exceptional. A comfortable nice sized bedroom with bathroom. The hotel is clean, and has friendly and efficient staff. The clean swimming pool on the roof is a sun trap, and the gymnasium is close-by. Ba Ban Chinese Restaurant. Over-Rated and very expensive. A disappointing visit following recommendations from your site. Service and food was good, but the restaurant obviously survives on customers from the adjacent W hotel for its clientele. The dining area is very dark, to the extent of being off-putting. To pay 38 OMR [371 Dirhams] for the meal was OTT. Pavements. The pavements and secondary roads are not level in the hotel area, and where work is being undertaken, few if any, safety signs are in place, which makes it particularly difficult at night. Taxis There are lots of local taxis operated in the main by inexperienced drivers with cars of poor maintenance. Beware, no meters are in place, all rates need to be negotiated, prices usually starting at twice what is a fair rate.

This is a high-quality hotel with large, spacious rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast buffet is delicious. Underground parking is available for hotel guests. The hotel is ideal for families with children, thanks to its double rooms with interconnecting doors. If you're traveling without children, don't worry about the interconnecting door—the soundproofing is excellent. The hotel is close to the airport, but a bit far from all the city's action; you'll need a car or taxi (they're always available nearby).
The internet (Wi-Fi) is very poor. It's fair to say there's no internet at the hotel. The staff is very friendly, but they're not very responsive to requests. We asked for towels in our room to be changed in the evening; we called reception four times, but no one brought them. When we asked for a knife to peel fruit, they brought us a table knife, not a kitchen knife. And most importantly, we had an early checkout and asked to book a taxi for 6 a.m. The staff started calling a transfer to the airport when we got downstairs. The car that arrived was theoretically too small for our family and luggage. I had to hail a taxi from the street and drive there myself, and the lost time made our time at the airport a frustrating one.

Room- perfect beds slept, excellenet room service.. lot of facilities including towels , toiletteris all were excellent Location- Best location , had book intercity initally changed to this one, lot of restaurants coffee shops, marts walking from the hotel Breakfast- Superb Inidan, English, Arabic all options with excellent quallity and variety , my family kids, grandparents all enjoyed food well done Swimming pool - Hot pools open air top floow what a lovely thing
Really all good ... Just for 1st timers from parking we need to carry stuff 1 floor then we have lifts so better first drop luggage and people in front of hotel and then park

Cleaning could've been much better (found marks on the pillow cases) Gigantic building with very confusing corridors and lifts The lobby was well-maintained and renovated but it did not reflect the state of the room They provide dishwashers in the room but no dishwashing tablets!
