Poor
Felt authentic.
Rude staff upon check in. Were told there was no food and there were no meals included in our stay even though it was advertised as inclusive of breakfast and dinner in the FAQ and review sections. Werent given any information on the area and when we tried to ask where we could get food we were told to leave the town. Price of the room was expensive considering there were no inclusions, not even kettle in the room.

This was my favourite stay in Oman. The place is very cute, beautifully decorated, quiet and the hosts are incredibly hospitable. It's also perfectly located in Misfat, in a green quiet setting.

Wonderful
Property is in a beautiful location, spread out over a couple of buildings in the area. The area itself is beautiful to explore with some easy and not-so-easy hiking tracks that go right through the village. Rooms were neat, had a fridge and could be locked. Room had screens at the window, so that when the shutters are open, insects don't get in. My room also had a small balcony. Bathroom does not have an enclosed or curtained shower area, but is big enough that you wont get anything else wet when showering.
Not as traditional as it is marketed to be. My room had a high bed, as opposed to the mattresses on the floor that are often seen in the pictures. Meals were very western, although there was always dates included in every meal.

Rustic charm in a marvellous position within the old village with a marked footpath immediately adjacent. Fruit and drinks provided in the very spacious room were very well received after the long journey.
Authentic Omani house with a simple but excellent choice of Omani food. The Omani bread and date honey included in the breakfast buffet was delicious. Hadn't realised King Charles had tea here in 2018.
A restricted view of the mountains from our room due to obscuring palm trees but they helped keep us cool and were beautiful anyway.

Misfah Old House is an absolutely fantastic place to stay, a gem! Everything was lovely, the room/apartment we were given, simple, roomy, clean with original features lovely restored. The dinner and breakfast are superlative, as was the Omani coffee with dates offered promptly upon our arrival. As I had informed them that one of us was vegetarian they prepared for us delicious extra food that they placed on our table at dinner, which was really a very generous touch, considering that the food available on the buffet would have been more than plenty and comprising vegetarian options aplenty! We loved the terrace where the restaurant is located and the other terrace one floor below where you can sit and relax. The walk around the oasis is so nice and peaceful, paradise! I will definitely recommend this property and hopefully be back upon my next trip to Oman. Lovely and attentive staff and owner. Thank you!
It is perfect!

Location inside the gardens is magical. We had a shaded balcony looking out over the date palms onto the valley. The buildings are traditional, and are well and lovingly maintained. One of the trails through the valley goes dirctly past the hotel and makes for a lovely walk. Dinner and breakfast were excellent- some of the best Omani coffee and food we had. Staff were lovely. The manager even lent us his own books about local birds for the evening!

Loved how authentic and yet comfortable it was. The mattresses were very good, the sound of the water running through the irrigation system outside was amazing to hear during the night. Everything was clean, and the meals we had there were also very good, with good selection. The location is a plus given its in the middle of a banana plantation. There are hiking trails we can do around, and the views are just stunning.

The staff were great, welcoming, polite and helpful. Beautiful and unique buildings and surroundings. MOH is relatively expensive, but worth it for the beautiful location. Room had a balcony with a view. The communal eating area was pleasant.

Beautiful traditional acccommodation with a lot of charm. The buffets for dinner and breakfast were fine. The staff is really nice and helpful.
Location is great, quite isolated from the rest of the village. Quiet. The views are great
I had a small room with bathroom, but to access it I had to go outside through the balcony and several steps, which is no ideal.
I find it a bit expensive for what I got
