Wonderful
Staff upgraded me to a bigger room which was such an incredible surprise! Did everything I needed for the night before getting on the ferry only about a 10-15 minute drive over which was great!
Its an older hotel so some noise from the pub below but that was expected. Room was cold but the space heater and electric blanket solved that

The food of the downstairs restaurant are good.
After we checked in, we found no bath towel. The facility is old.

The hotel provided a comfortable bedroom in a very convenient location for catching the Interislander ferry the next day. We enjoyed a very pleasant evening meal in the hotel's own restaurant.
This is an old hotel and some of the facilities are a bit worn out.

Exceptional
Location is prime for the value. Secure off street parking. Shops, cafes and eateries all around. Just a short jaunt to the Rose Garden and the wharf.
The staff and bar was phenomenally. I travel simple and appreciate character in my lodging. Building is old and has a Victorian feel so the room didn’t have A/C. However they provide two high powered fans to keep you cool and comfortable.

Friendly staffs
Horribly old building with an old facility. One shower for everyone and one toilet for everyone.
The toilet was never cleaned and was an awfully horrible place to sleep.
The coffee cup was filled with spoiled coffee from the last guest, which wasn't cleaned, and the mattress was very old and uncomfortable. Staff was very friendly, but the facilities were horribly old and bad.

only one toilette and one shower on the floor, however they were always vacant when I needed them
You cannot open a window in your room to get fresh air or cool your room down at night.
The small fan did not really help
My room had a weird smell and having a wet towel in the room made it worse

Pleasant
Convenient for the ferry. Restaurant was good. There weren't many places to eat.
Very limited parking. The parking is all taken up by patrons to the bar, which leaves nothing for hotel guests. Could hear the music from the bar at night, since the hotels right over the bar. Traffic noise also.
