The location was fabulous, and the reception staff were lovely.
The bathroom wasn't very clean - a lot of soap residue on the soap dish in the shower, and just a general feeling that the room was in need of a refresh. We had the window open and it was noisy all night, so we would have appreciated air conditioning.

The woman on reception was friendly, and the after-hours check-in was easy. The room was a good size and in a good location.
A backpackers would have been better. There was leftover mouldy food in the fridge. The crumbs and spills from the last occupants were still on the table (and between the cracks of the wood hadn't been cleaned ever). There was no hand soap for the toilet. The curtain was off its hooks (and too high to reach), so light came in. The bed was saggy and uncomfortable. I woke at 4am because the dust was giving me asthma...I never get asthma. You have to pull out the bedside tables to use the plugs. The lamps have switches hanging down the back which you can't get to, and there is only one other lightbulb in the room. The kitchen cupboard door didn't shut properly, and the bathroom door needed to be slammed to stay shut. The carpet in the hallways and the lift were dirty and looked unvacuumed. I don't like to give a negative review, but I wouldn't stay here again. They did bring me hand soap when asked, but missed fixing any of the cleaning issues.

Central accommodation, close to Cable car to the tram museum and Botanical gardens. Very clean, great staff. We had wine glasses and a tea towel missing and they were delivered to our room straight away. Bed comfortable, WiFi good. We didn't have a car so don't know about parking. We ate at the underground markets near by, great food places at the Mexican and the Thai.

Loved everything about the Quest.
Absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful staff. I loved that they have a Sunday off and that you can help yourself to anything if you need more towels, coffee, tea sachets and other amenities
You don't have to phone reception to ask for these.

Large stylish studio with kitchenette and fridge in a beautiful old art deco building which has been well maintained. . Good bed. Large bathroom with washing machine and dryer - both working well. Good hot water. Plenty of windows that opened. Great access to the city.
A bit of noise early in the morning because of the location, but a minor convenience.

Good size rooms, great location, charming building.
Rooms quite dated, could do with a refresh. No aircon, was a bit warm at night. Location quite noisy, mostly rubbish trucks etc in the night and early morning.

The location was excellent. Very close to downtown shopping, the TePapa and Maritime Museums, good restaurants, and cafés. We really liked being able to do laundry in the bathroom washer and dryer.
Shabby and worn furniture. Definitely needs a little TLC. But staff were friendly and location is good

location of the hotel is very convenient
Our room had a window facing the courtyard, which we complained about and the hotel complied. There was no reception service available during our stay. I forgot my sunglasses in the room when we left the hotel. Unfortunately, I never received a response to my request to find them.
