Fair
The receptionist that greeted us upon arrival was very friendly. She was very interested in what we needed, and also took time to show us how to swipe in.
Reception area is really nice and welcoming, in terms of background music, very nice smelling, and clean.
Room was clean and tidy, and suitable for what we needed.
It was nice to receive the written information, with various instructions and the Wifi password. Wifi was good quality.
The hotel was very quiet, which was great to return to.
Parking was really nice; though a little steep at $40 a day.
Having a kitchen was really good. That's a plus.
The bed was nice. We spent 2 nights/days at the hotel, and we slept well.
We met a staff member who was cleaning the room next to ours. She asked us whether we wanted our room serviced, and we responded "Yes please. Thank you" (Though we read and were aware of the written information on the Welcoming letter.
We returned to our room around 4 to 5 hours later, and it was not serviced!
I rang the receptionist and requested a service; and he was nice about it, saying it would be done.
We left our room as to give the service crew time and space. We returned about an hour afterwards, and our room looked it was cleaned in a rush. The sheets on our bed was lumpy. I could do a better job with my eyes closed. The toilet paper hadn't been changed (it was almost finished; which is what we left it as). Not sure whether they changed to towels or just rehung them back again.
That was a hassle and a downer for us!
Shower space is very small, and the showerhead needs a clean/change.
The elevator was very noisy. Looks like it needs a bit of grease/oil.
It can get hot though, and only a small window opens.

Pleasant
Location is in the CBD and close to the waterfront. Had everything we needed and was comfortable for a budget standard apartment.
It was a bit small..

This was a perfect place to explore the city and harbor area. The facility was great and very clean. B The room was nice with a really spacious bathroom. The concierge was so helpful in recommending activities and restaurants.
Parking was fairly expensive and in a parking ramp around the block.

Wonderful
Location of the hotel was close to the wharf and restaurants. Shopping and the Sky tower and shopping in the centre were all within in walking distance. Room and beds were roomy and comfortable.
No free parking required to park at a Wilson Carpark.

Good
Thought that the location was good, along with the room being decently sized despite being an odd configuration
The toilet didn't always flush properly and would keep running after a while. Also the room is functionally fine but definitely a bit dated, not that it impacted the stay.

Very Poor
Terrible. The entire building shakes when it’s windy. My family felt sick all night. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. Also, we arrived at 6:30 pm an could only communicate with staff through the intercom and they took about 10 minutes (and hung up on my several times while we stood with our bags in the curve), in order to locate my reservation.

i always find that I write about what I didn't like first, and have to come back to what I did like afterwards. So, the didn't's. Small bedrooms (2 bed unit), single tiny bathroom. Not in keeping with any other Quest we have ever stayed at (anywhere in the world) and not even close to the standard of the one we stayed at in New Plymouth (which was very good). It was a tire, old run down building, with old furniture and moth eaten carpets (and no air-conditioning). Now, I don't want air con to become the running complaint, but keeping windows open in the city, beside the wharf and with the main expressway on the other side of the harbour meant sirens and boat horns all night, and no air movement if the windows were closed. Again, suicide windows so fully open was a tiny slot of about 10cms. Again, no parking, but cheaper than Auckland. Parking was about $48 per day in the Wilsons opposite, but, be warned, it closed at about 9pm and we hadn't gotten all our bags out. No food nearby. OK walk to the CBD, but we arrived over the weekend, and the CBD is not useful when it is not weekdays. Overall, a pleasant stay in Wellington, but not helped by this accommodation, and we would not bother to come back to Wellington again. Having said all that, on to the good points? Weren't really any to mention.

Clean, friendly staff
I did request to be placed on the same floor as family who were traveling which I wasn’t however my stay was comfortable, clean and the staff were great. The security may need to be looked into as I had to leave at 330am to the airport and in the neighboring rooms the doors were slamming shut constantly from 130am with numerous people coming and going. Fortunately I had to get up early however being a single female I didn’t feel particularly safe leaving my own unit to get to the lift when their door was ajar open, light off and clearly things going on.
