The decor, the atmosphere and the location. This is a pretty unique hotel. Some of the staff were lovely. Most of the physical assets: art, furniture etc given the impression of luxury.
Despite the impression of luxury, it was evident that there is a lot of cost cutting going on. Our bed linen was the uncovered duvet between two white sheets combo you get in cheap hotels. We were given a grand total of two medium sized towels that barely dried us (presumably to save on towels and washing). Our kettle was a cheap plastic number filled with limescale. The table in our room was battered and scratched. As this is not a cheap hotel, and sells itself on the experience, this is a shame.

the location was good, nice and close to everything that was required
we had booked a 1-bedroom apartment, we were called saying we were upgraded upon arrival we walked into our room which was a studio under QT not even in the museum hotel starring at a car park and listening to road noise on the 1st floor. Upon going to the reception, we were told that there was nothing we could do that booking.com must have made the mistake. We expressed that it was not good enough and our frustrations. We were told we could have room credit. Upon checkout we told them we had gone to the bar, and we had items from the minibar we were told it was all clear and nothing to pay. Upon getting home we saw we had been charged $95 and a further $8 I called and stated the above to which the guy stated i must be confused which made me even angrier after explaining that checkout had told us there was nothing to pay he stated he can refund the $95 but it would take some time to go back to our card

The shower could have been better. A two rose arrangement but the ceiling rose kept dripping when turned off.

Staff is super helpful and the trouble shooting was effective and concise.
Apartment was not up to standard, but staff were able to sort out the issues and offered an alternative that satisfied any misgivings. Overall it was a satisfactory stay.

Chose to stay for the location
Our room felt tired and dated. We looked out to the roof of the swimming pool so the lack of natural light and dark decor made the room feel like a dungeon, we just slept and left early. Retrieving our car in the morning felt chaotic and took 30 minutes.
