Very Good
On previous stays I was on the first floor. My latest stay I was on the second floor. I much prefer the first floor, as I am 74 and I go out often so find the walk to the second floor tiring.
I have stayed in all sorts of hotels all over the world. I find the CAMBRIDGE offers excellent value for the price charged. So nothing to dislike.

interesting layout, helpful staff that helped with my super late check-in after the ferry delay, central location. capsulated beds ensure privacy.
the bathroom is unisex which is fine, but there wasn't much room inside the shower to change clothes... girls could feel a little uncomfortable changing.

The one single shared bathroom/showers for everyone isn’t the most comfortable or convenient. There were intoxicated people yelling in the hallway from 3:30-6 am. A rugby group (not housed at the hostel to my knowledge) was partying in the kitchen. I checked out early after one bad night, and when I inquired about getting my money back for the two lost nights of my booking, I got no answer. Best to spend the extra $ and go elsewhere, unless you’re really okay with something like this happening.

The location and the price was excellent for the booking and the amount of length of stay I would highly recommend a stay there to anyone that is wanting to stay and visit wellington will be looking to book again in the near future ?

Clean, comfortable and very central to everything. I also loved the elevator and just keeping to the era of its time.
The room could’ve done with more milk and teaspoons or disposable stirrers for the hot drinks.

Good location, short walk to the waterfront. lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Lift available, bed comfortable. Friendly staff. Building clearly fairly old, with dated decor, but clean.
Parking was a challenge, and it is not free during daytime.

Boy just passing thru once again. them parking wardens kept away, travelled for a concert that i pre planned & went thru with it to get that good start for 2026.
Bond money at $50, forgot to recieve it at checkout but recieved it via online a week later. Weather back in the bay made me leave but the weather down Wellyz was fair.

Central Location and very nice staff. They brought a microwave to our room for my young son to have his milk warmed up.
It’s an old building with tight rooms and bathrooms. There’s no table in the rooms.

I liked that I had my own room. Staff was very helpful for the questions I asked. I loved having a sink in my room, yes I had to go to a shared bathroom for taking a shower and using the toilet but I could at least brush my teeth in my room and drink water
I didn't like the design of the room, I had a kettle at a table-like place but no plug around it, so I had to put it on the ground to boil water and put it back there

Stayed in a twin room with a friend. Beds clean and comfortable, fabulous location right in the city. I have stayed here many times, and it is a great place to stay.
Lack of power points for electric jug in this room. Needed to unplug the fridge or move jug to bedside tables. Bathroom very small, but was nice and clean. A few more coffee and tea sachets in the room would be good.
