Perfectly fine for a one night stay after returning on the ferry from the South island. Comfortable bed.

Great location right on the water front, clean & tidy rooms. We were lucky enough to get given a upstairs room. Parking right outside the units. Was ideal place to stay to access the Cook Straight Ferry super easy to get to/from.
Had everything we required, the outside garden areas had broken old outdoor furniture. The grounds could easily be tided up to have a more welcoming outdoor space.

Cosy spot and close to everything you need. Small but plenty of room. Bathroom was very clean.
Maybe a small fan could be installed as it can get a little stuffy on really hot/muggy days.

83 by the sea is a convenient location for an overnight stay. Handy to Petony bars and restaurants. Free off street parking. And quick easy drive to catch an early ferry. Comfortable room with all the amenities.
Busy road at the front of the motel means heavy traffic out front. We parked up and walked from our unit for dinner so not really an issue.

Disappointing
Location in industrial area and very noisy with traffic. Trucks starting up at all hours. Suits workers but not a place to stay for leisurely break. Very tired building. Leaves scattered over front entrance and dirty windows of front door not a good look.

The location.
There wasn’t aircon in the room so it got really stuffy, there was a small fan but it didn’t help to cool the room

Location - cafes & restaurants within walking distance and walk/cycleway is over the road. Friendly owners provided secure lockup to store our ebikes. Good hot water and lovely towels Comfy bed. Plenty of free parking
Quite dated premises, although perhaps owners are working on updating. Bathroom small, shower was low and not adjustable for a tall person. Long life milk - prefer fresh milk particularly if staying couple nights or more.
