The location of Tempest was great, easy walking into the town. Lyn and Christ were excellent hosts, the conversation around the breakfast table was enjoyable. Lyn is not only an wonderful artist, we enjoyed looking at all her beautiful artwork on the walls, she is also an excellent cook, she made muffins for breakfast and delicious cookies to enjoy with our afternoon tea. The room was very quiet and dark of a night.
Everything suited our requirements.

Good location, well presented and comfortable room and ensuite bathroom.
Initial greeting by owner Chris felt a little like an interrogation. Which was a little off putting.

Chris & Lin made us feel very welcome. Our room was spacious and very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous with great coffee, delicious preserves, fruit, croissants, and hone made granola.

We had a lovely very large room in this property which lies within walking distance of the centre of Wanaka. Very comfortable with all the facilities you would expect. Superb breakfast which includes a number of home grown items. Charming hosts. Highly recommended.

Homey setting with very friendly owners.
Easy walk down into town.
Attic-like room was fairly warm, but did have AC unit; no one in NZ seems to have screens on windows or ceiling fans, but heated towel racks are everywhere.

Chris & Lin are excellent hosts. The accommodation was very comfortable, well situated and close to town. Our room was large, bed comfortable & bathroom spotless. The highlight was the beautiful breakfast of homemade jams, granola & freshly baked bread. Even better was an opportunity to share this with our hosts & other guests.

Spacious rooms, quietly located and a sumptuous breakfast.
The owners are really morning people who like to have their breakfast early. It took some negotiations to get breakfast at at 9.00.
