Edgewater is located in Wānaka, only 1.2 mi from Wānaka town center. The property offers picturesque lake views, rolling green lawns, spas, a sauna, and a tennis court. All of this can be arranged by our on-site concierge, just make sure to request this in advance. Edgewater is a 4-minute drive from Wānaka township or a 20-minute walk around the lake. Queenstown is a 1-hour drive away via the Crown Range. Please note that due to our resort's unique layout, views from each room may vary, offering guests different perspectives of our beautiful surroundings. Our accommodations blocks are spread out across the resort grounds, providing guests with a tranquil and serene environment complemented by diverse viewpoints. Many of our accommodations blocks are single-story, offering ground floor rooms and rooms on the 1st floor complete with a balcony. It's important to note that our top-story rooms are accessible only by stairs. If you have any mobility concerns or specific accessibility preferences, please inform us during the booking process. Everything. They upgraded us to a suite. Had a washer/dryer; kitchen; living room; K size bed; bath; and balcony with lake view. Helpful staff, good breakfast. Nice town. Would have liked to stay longer.

Excellent place. We only stayed for 1 night. It is close to everything (including that wanaka tree). But, also very serene and peaceful. Very well equipped apartments and wonderful staff.

It's a large property with a lot of rooms. Gardens are good, close to the lake.
The facility is quite old, feel floor is not very clean. It's quite expensive but the overall experience is below expectation.

Great room and nice bed. Views from the room on the lake are beautiful. Location is great for hikes and strolls. We were happy that they had hot tub, but (see below)
The only problem was that hot tub was not hot and controls were not fully operational. Temperature in some of the tubs was just warm and it was impossible to change. While we took it. it did not gave us necessary relaxation after long hike.

Great lakefront location with easy access to a walking trail, park and Rippon winery as well as the lone tree!
This hotel is in serious need of a refurbish. Rooms are shabby, old carpet, rickety windows, dirty and dingy outdoor patios. The restaurant was also a disappointment in terms of quality. This place is definitely resting on it's location which is a spectacular one that includes great access to the lake and surrouding area, but the rooms were pretty shabby unfortunately, and we stayed in a suite, where you would typically expect a higher quality, but not in this case unfortuatnely.

Perfect quiet location away from hustle of town centre. On site restaurant with fantastic food. Great ambiance on lake’s edge. Very spacious rooms, equipped kitchen Comfortable beds Rooms weren’t ready at check in time so we were kindly gifted free desserts.
Kids had to sleep on a sofa bed rather than have a single bed each. We asked for a rollaway bed and they were accommodating with this.

Need to take the stairs up if the room is at the second floor. But the good thing is that the staff may offer help when checking in.

The property is at a great location with walking access to the lake and minutes walk to the Wanaka tree. The staff is exceptional with one of the best people both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Cannot compliment the staff enough on how friendly and courteous they are. This place is sensational for a stay and would love to stay again.
