The layout includes three bedrooms, but having only one bathroom was quite inconvenient for our group. Additionally, there was a strong lingering food smell in the room that was quite bothersome. Better ventilation or deeper cleaning would improve the experience

Motel is pretty dated. Chalets looked newer, but were booked.

Friendly staff ( Jackie the receptionist was very welcoming and provided us all the information we need during our stay and sightseeing )

Location was decent.
Extremely dated, did not feel clean, towels smelled and were very old, soap products stunk also, everything was too cheap (even the garbage bags) Not worth what we paid for at all.

Fabulous welcome and loads of information given about the town, lovely clean room with great facilities.
Slight incline from town, but much less than some we have had throughout our travels around NZ. I managed it and I am overweight and not very fit.

Had a great 2 night stay - walking distance to restaurants, shops and beach - Location is perfect - rooms are good & clean
highly recommended - better to book in advance - we went around Chinese new year and glad we booked our hotel but all other hotels was fully booked

Our room was newly built, well designed and to a very high standard. It was well equipped; everything seemed shiny and new! It’s an easy walk from the property to downtown for restaurants and also to the lake. The owner is very welcoming and helpful with a lovely sense of humour.
