Cosy room perfect for 3.
Our Host Basa was fantastic and made sure we had everything we needed.
Comfortable beds , pillows and well appointed room. Fan was much appreciated with the humid nights . Flat, Walking distance to town , bars and the lake.

It was a good location, clean and tidy, the hosts were very lovely.
The studio room was a little quirky, and small for the cost of this room. Room was very hot even with the fan going.

Jacqui and Barry were friendly and nice. The accommodation was as advertise; spacious with good lighting and clean.
It's located pretty close to the town center too.

We had a great stay here! Everything you could need was provided, the place was super clean and hosts were very friendly. Not to mention the comfiest bed I’ve slept on in ages. Walking distance to Taupo’s shops and food places

The fact that you have to pay cash.
The TV was very poor and kept freezing if you tried to change channel. Really the tv is too cheap and nasty with poor channel selection for what you pay.

I have always stayed at Barrington when in Taupo and is my motel of choice.
This time for unknown reasons the noise from the next door neighbours was very loud with chuldren yelling and screaming. They also could look into my room. This is not the owners fault, but a fence like that has already been put up between the main house and the rooms would alleviate this. It is not a criticism of the owners but somehing that they need to be aware of.
