Very Good
Helpful staff , great bed , excellent decor , internet , shower and kitchen facilities . Very clean , modern . Easy onsite parking , just up the road from most of the volcanic attractions . Close to main shopping and also a quiet location as rooms not on main road .
Although the concierge had recently replaced the cooktop, the touch controls were temperamental . When he looked at it it worked perfectly , it worked most of the time for us , but we just bought some microwave oven containers from Kmart and used the microwave instead . Not really the owners fault , just typical of modern technology -unreliable . We are elderly and had upstairs room , we should have asked for ground floor room .

The staff were so helpful they helped get bags upstairs for me as my partner has trouble climbing stairs. The room was awesome and smelt beautiful. I can’t fault this place.

Rooms had been refurbished and were spotless. Very large rooms with a large comfortable bed. It had a kitchenette which was very well set up to self cater. Laundry facilities available to use were helpful as we were travelling each day.
We had an upstairs room which could be hard for older guests as the outside stairs were steep and slippery when wet. There are also ground floor rooms.

The communication was excellent both before and during the stay. The staff member that we interacted with was exceedingly good and responsive to our requests, I don’t know his name but he was the one who put out a cone to warmness of not falling down the stairs..
We only watched the news on TV, however the TV remote was difficult to use because most of the instructions have been rubbed off, and the TV had been change to German presumably by former guests and consequently was a little hard to navigate.
The chairs in the room were really quite rickety and not keeping with the quality of the rest of the motel.

The location was great. We could walk to restaurants, shops, and spas.
The room was spacious and very comfortable. Amenities added a nice touch.

The location is very good on Fenton Street. Whakarewarewa is close by, not far from a supermarket and the shopping area snd Eat Street minutes away by car.
Decor in room rather soulless. Benchtop cooking elements are Induction - unsafe for use by people who have a pacemaker. This needs to be advertised on the Booking.com website for this property.
TV kept cutting out.

I had a warm welcome at reception and help with my bags. The rooms were super clean with no fuss, The motel is on the main route through Rotorua with supermarket just down the road. Handy for everything in town.
