Dirty room & dirty hotel. Carpet dirty & stained. Walls all marked up. Window shades stained ,& dirty. Bathroom ceiling fan full of lint/dust, air con barely worked

Great proximity to the airport and rental car drop off, free and plentiful car parking, and nice dinner across the road at the Holiday Inn.
I thought it was very poor that for $NZ 354 ($AUD 305) per night, we did not even have a CHAIR in our room, so for having a coffee or watching tv, we had to sit on the bed.

Our room was very small with one tiny stool and a tiny moveable wooden table…not at all comfortable for sitting at. The bathroom was tiny. The walls were all marked up. We had to go to the desk and ask for housekeeping to come back in. There were parts of the room that had not been dusted in quite awhile and it needed further vacuuming. The manager just said housekeeping must not have finished…it wasn’t just dust from overnight. He did send someone in though. Never once were we offered a different room. It was even difficult to maneuver coming into the hotel from the parking lot as there were numerous carts full of laundry lining the walls. We did not find the front desk staff particularly friendly either.

I appreciated the washer/dryer! I also liked being outside of Queenstown right next to the Remarkables. It was easy to go pick up a few groceries. It was calming.
I thought the “nightstand” on the wall was in a precarious position for getting out of bed.

Was good value for short notice stay in queenstown.
I did online check-in before I turned up on site but when I went to collect my key, the receptionist took me through the entire check-in process again which took too long.
Bed was hard, and fridge which was located beside the bed was noisey.

It was beautiful around the hotel.
The hotel was awful. Everything was dirty and the rooms didn't allow you to lock them from the inside. A man with housekeeping walked in on me half dressed after we had tried to lock the door with the deadbolt that didn't work. We talked with staff and none of the deadbolts actually function in the rooms. I was so anxious and never felt safe there.

This particular hotel for us came with a kitchen and a washer/dryer - that was so awesome - doing laundry mid-trip was awesome. The hotel was clean and had some restaurants nearby - downtown location seemed much better with a lot more restaurants and was a central place for tour bus pick ups.
If I had to pick one it would be location. Buses do pick up from Frankton Terminus but most buses pick up from Crowne Plaza Downtown so you end up taking a cab there

Location.
Our room was disgusting; multiple liquid stains on the carpet and walls, filthy curtains, hair all over surfaces, and urine splashes on the bathroom wall. They couldn't move us the first night, and even the "upgraded" room the next day was dirty and unsanitary (sticky urine round the toilet and bathroom floor). We eventually checked out early because we couldn't stomach the lack of hygiene. A 4-star rating is completely misleading for a hotel that fails on the most basic level of hygiene. We moved to the Quest across the road (also 4 stars), which was night-and-day in terms of quality and cleanliness. Save yourself the stress and money, stay elsewhere, anywhere but Wyndham Gardens.

There is a drop off car park in front of the hotel entrance to stay 5 minutes to do the check-in
Then there is a free hotel guest car park in the back of the building with no reserved spot. When we were there we always found a spot, but it might get full during high season and you need to search paid on-street parking around
Room was spacious, clean and quiet
Hotel located outside of the city centre, next to the airport. You need a car or to call a Uber to go in the city (15 minutes drive or more depending on traffic).
Despite the airport being close, we were not bothered by the noise of the planes.
The bathroom was impractical, the door swung inward, so we had to squeeze between the sink, the door and the toilet just to close it.

The location is great.
The room was not very clean at all. Stains on bed and sheets, hairs in bathroom with some mold, and very dirty walls. I would expect more when being charged $375NZD
