Sherwood Queenstown is an eco-friendly hotel with an on-site restaurant and bar. The property is set on a hillside overlooking the picturesque Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables Mountain Range. This unique property offers a tranquil retreat with a bicycle track and a vegetable garden. Sherwood Queenstown is just 5 minutes’ drive or 15 minutes' by bicycle from Queenstown City Center, and 8 minutes’ drive from Queenstown Airport. Both Coronet Peak ski fields and The Remarkables ski area are a 30-minute drive away. Guests can enjoy hiking fishing, cycling and skiing in the surrounding areas. The guest rooms feature commissioned artworks and recycled materials including pure wool blankets, industrial light fittings, and hand crafted bathroom products. You will find NZ organic tea and coffee in all rooms, and fresh milk (dairy & oat) on demand from Reception. The rooms feature a mini-bar & our refillary menu includes homemade sodas, natural local wine, craft beer and rare spirits. Free WiFi access is provided. Has the potential to be a beautiful property in the future once renovations are done. A little disappointed that the inside of the room were a bit dated & dark, however they were very clean had the essentials of teas & coffee, toaster & crockery. I love the organic feel of the whole Sherwood property. I appreciated the space in the room we had (32). The restaurant looked amazing, even though we didn't get a chance to try it.
The car parking was unallocated which made it hard when we returned at night.

Quirky rooms, fun. One of the receptionists worked her magic to locate an iron when none were seemingly available, but was 40 mins after I went looking, I was very appreciative when one was located.
No room service, nor a willingness to deliver to rooms, had to wait No iron available, and very hard to locate one when all were gone from the laundry

We love the simplicity of Sherwood. The food is always exceptional.
Bathroom is okay, not amazing. Noisy hallway - not great soundproofing.

Exceptional
Four very cosy nights spent here at the Sherwood. A large comfortable bed for a good night's sleep and a tiny kitchen for snack prep and morning tea & coffee/breakfast. The staff were all super helpful, relaxed and friendly. The restaurant is so good that we ate there for 3 of the 4 evening meals. The menu is not cheap, but the food is well worth the money for its variety, quality, freshness and being locally sourced. We felt very much "at home" here and would definitely stay again. Very much in favour of the eco emphasis too! A big thank you to all Sherwood staff

Had the most awesome meal in the restaurant- very creative menu and really tasty. Almost didn’t use it as the website doesn’t live up to the eating experience.
The open balcony so guests can walk past each other’s room windows - felt it lacked privacy. Also not much around this part of town.

The room was well appointed, lovely decor and comforts, they'd thought about sustainability and it was was very cosy, nice lighting, very quiet.
While the restaurant was beautiful, it's very fancy and not for everyone. We had to venture into town to find dinner and breakfast a little more low key.
