Exceptional
My stay at Queenstown House Bed & Breakfast was absolutely exceptional and easily one of the highlights of my time in New Zealand. From the moment I arrived, the experience felt warm, personal, and thoughtfully curated.
The property itself is beautifully maintained, with a charming, elevated setting that offers stunning views over Queenstown and Lake Wakatipu. It strikes the perfect balance between cozy and refined. My room was immaculate, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was excellent, and the quiet atmosphere made it easy to unwind after a full day exploring.
What truly sets this place apart is the hospitality. The hosts and staff go above and beyond to create a welcoming, relaxed environment while also offering helpful local recommendations and insights.
The breakfast was outstanding—fresh, high-quality, and thoughtfully prepared, with a great selection to start the day right.
A standout experience was the evening wine tasting, which added a special touch to the stay. It was a fantastic opportunity to sample excellent local wines in a relaxed, social setting, and connect with other guests. It felt both elevated and effortless—exactly the kind of experience you hope for in a boutique stay like this.
The location is also ideal—just a short walk into town, but far enough to enjoy peace, quiet, and those incredible views.
Overall, Queenstown House is a standout property that delivers on every level: comfort, service, atmosphere, and memorable experiences. I would return without hesitation and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Queenstown.
The walk back from town up the hill. It is better to take an Uber from in-town. I could not get one from the main street at the bottom of the hill.

This was an exceptional B&B. The breakfasts were amazing. The wine and cheese nights allowed you to meet and chat with other guests. And the staff were amazing.

Wonderful
Great breakfast and staff were very helpful. The location is a little difficult for elder persons, however most sites around Queenstown is quite steep.
Car parking can be a little challenging

Wonderful
Amazing breakfasts and extremely pleasant and helpful staff. We arrived later in the day and despite it being after hours we were greeted and shown to our room and given a briefing. Sam also made us a breakfast to go as we were heading out to Milford Sound very early in the morning.
It’s a walk up the hill!

Wonderful
The rooms were large and very well appointed. The view was exceptional, overlooking Queenstown and the lake.
2 blocks of the walk back from town are straight uphill and are "no joke". It's not a long walk but it does get your attention. If you drive back-and-forth, no problem.
