The view is exceptional and stunning, and the ferry experience was truly unforgettable.
The balcony was a bit dirty and too small to sit outside. we are not particularly fond of connecting rooms and would prefer a room without a connecting door, if possible

Good
Location, friendly staff and the Pinot Pit.
Limited Dining options. There are only 2 restaurants, however on 2 days of the week one of them is closed leaving only one option. The main restaurant is used for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The quality of the food was disappointing.

Very Good
stunning view form the spa, the fire in the lobby was a gorgeous welcome and the staff friendly and efficient, The gym was Modeste but the pool lovely. The room was very generous and loved the sitting area around the rooms fireplace too.
sadly the corridors smelt a little musty, which was in contrast to the lobby, felt like we were heading to no mans land and the gym equipment was sparce. slightly confusing to find our ground floor room .

All the staff exceeded our expectations with service from the valet to the front desk to housekeeping to the restaurant. Breakfast had a very wide variety of food items and the dinner meal at the Grill was delicious.

Wonderful
Great view, cozy room with ample space. The hotel lobby and surrounding facilities area all a nice comfortable temprature during our winter stay. Restraunts (steak + burgers/pizza) within/surrounding area were fantastic too. While being close to airport, we didn't experience any distruptive noise.
It's a little far from the main town. We stayed here as well as in the heart of Queenstown and the convenience of being near everything was very nice. From the Hilton, you'll need transport to anywhere off site. Nothing is within a comfortable walking distance. It's approximately 15-20min drive from the main area of Queenstown, but very close to the airport.

Very Poor
Well, we had a bit of view at the lake. Although for a 5-star hotel we expected proper balcony chairs, not basic stools.
This was one of the worst stays I have had in a hotel at this price point. The resort is expensive, yet the level of service and cleanliness was shockingly poor. Our room was not properly cleaned for an entire week. Only bedsheets and towels were changed. The floor was left dirty with some papers on it (they were not there when we left the room), our personal clothes were randomly thrown onto the bed, and the mirrors were extremely dirty. The mirrors were not just streaked, it was obvious they had been wiped with a dirty cloth, leaving visible smears and residue. I raised this issue multiple times at reception and explicitly asked for the mirrors to be cleaned. Nothing was done. This level of neglect is simply embarrassing for a hotel that positions itself as a luxury resort. Also, in the room we could not connect our phones to the TV, and the TV placement was very impractical, as it could not be watched from the bed, only from the chairs.
The spa facilities were disappointing as well. The pool and sauna areas were visibly dirty, with used towels left around, chairs out of place, and no staff monitoring or maintaining the area. Did not feel relaxing at all.
During my trip across New Zealand, I stayed in much cheaper hotels, motels and apartments that were absolutely amazing and far better maintained. I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

The view if you get the room with it.
Breakfast could be better.
A room can fit 3 guests but only allowed for 2 during booking.

Very Poor
Close to geyser
Cleanness is very bad. Accumulated dirt everywhere - sink, shower places, bench.
The staffs are rude and not professional. They have empty hand wash bottle and shower soap bottles, when we arrived. They left garbage can and some stuff right on the walk way in the room.
