We had an amazing stay at The Bothy on Cashmere! The location was perfect, offering a stunning view across Christchurch. We were lucky to have gorgeous weather, and the pool was a wonderful addition for a refreshing swim. There are plenty of great places to eat, all within a short 5-minute drive or a pleasant 15-minute walk. The bed was incredibly comfy, and the shower was fantastic. Our host was truly lovely and made us feel right at home. Thank you so much for such a memorable stay!

The Bothy was gorgeous, beautifully complemented by the surrounding garden and views. The host Jen was very kind and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Jen, we hope to get back there again some day :)

Breakfast was lovely and plenty was left there to enjoy, snacks etc. It was very comfortable and not too far from town.
Better signposting as we drove up and down the road a few times, stopped and asked another house about its location and where to park the car etc. Other than that, once we found it and were inside it was very lovely, peaceful, comfortable and we were well accommodated.

Quiet location on hill with view. Lovely outdoor setting. Bed was comfortable. Shower had reasonable water pressure. Powerpoints near bed. Although the kitchenette was small, it had most things needed to prepare a meal. Breakfast was provided: cereal, bread, butter, jam, milk, coffee, tea, sugar, orange juice, plus cheese and salami.
No blinds on front windows so was unable to sit at dining table in the afternoon because the sun was blazing in. No shelf in bathroom to place anything. Water in shower running hot and cold. Had a couple of other issues that the manager sorted out immediately.

The continental breakfast was enjoyable. The location was good. Lovely view of the city from my room.
The water pressure in the shower was very disappointing, the floor of the shower was very slippery (tiled).
With regard to the bedding the mattress cover and pillows were badly stained and I would suggest they be changed, I only discovered this as I stripped the bed on my last morning just to be helpful.

It was v close for me visiting friends at Rhodes on Cashmere Retirement Village
Too many internal steps with tiles and no hand rail. No curtains or blinds with neighbours walking past the window. The back path wasn't v easy for me

Beautiful grounds set back in Cashmere hills.
Bird song and the view was amazing. Jen was super welcoming and the snacks and breakfast was great. Comfortable bed and everything thing you need for a night or a week away. Wish it wasn’t raining as the pool area looked like an awesome place to enjoy a lazy day set in the garden.

Host doubled booked my partner and I. We were told on arrival with no prior warning our room wasn't yet ready at 4pm. Already running late to our friends wedding this put unnecessary stress on us, simple communication would have solved this issue. Host was rude and hardly apologetic. Off the street parking a stretch as your sharing the driveway with owners vehicles and there isn't much space.

There was only one coffee pod and we were two. The fruit tea packet was empty. So although there was bread, butter and jam provided, we decided to breakfast in town. The view was lovely and the bed was comfortable. We liked the layout and felt potential to be really cosy but …..
We thought it needed some tlc. There were a couple of empty beer bottles chucked down beside the wardrobe, the bed hadn’t been fully made up and there weren’t any welcoming touches.
