This is the best place I have stayed at for years. The chap on the front desk was accommodating and easy to conversate with. After that we were left alone great big room with a nice lock. Safe feeling neighborhood and easy for Uber to get food. We will be using this as our Christchurch Acom going forward I can not rate it highly enougth.

We began our trip of 15 days of the South Island with our first stay at the Randolph Motel Apartment and it was perfect in every way. Room arrangement, the size of the room, the bedding, the mattress, bathroom, washer and dryer to use, kitchenette, they thought of everything. It had everything we needed and expected and did not need or wish for more. We did not realize it at the time, but, it set the bar for our expectations for the rest of our South Island trip. I can honestly say that after 10 overnight stays in different hotel, motel, and a B&B, Randolph Motel was the best of them all, including the much more expensive hotel that should have excelled, but didn't. We ended our South Island trip back where we began before we flew out, at the Randolph Motel. It was wonderful being back in a place we knew what was waiting for us, everything we had expected at all the other places we stayed, except the Randolph Motel did not disappoint. We loved it.
What was there not to like? The manager was also a very pleasant nice man.

The property is well maintained and our room had very modern decor. It provided a washing machine, dryer, spa bath, a fridge/ freeze and an oven. The bed was very comfortable and our room was serviced each day. Being on Papanui Road, we were very surprised at how quiet the room was. The property is also very well lit and secure. Very handy to the shopping centre in Merivale.
There is nothing we didn’t like about the property. We were very happy with everything.

Beautifully clean, generous sized room with bonus in-room laundry facilities.
In the rain stairs were difficult to navigate for infirm spouse.
