We ate at a lovely cafe across the road.
The location was central to our return visit to Christchurch and within walking distance to our friends.
Rooms were comfortable and showers were great.

We were made to feel very welcome. The room was clean and a nice size and the kitchen well equipped with a 2 burner stove. There were very nice stores and a number of pubs within easy walking distance. (The grocery store being superior.)
Unfortunately our room was right beside the road. We had ear plugs but if we hadn’t, it would have been an issue.

The premium suite was simply gorgeous and well appointed, in the old homestead. The Hosts were exceptional, with the right balance of friendliness, attention to detail, whilst respectful of privacy. The beds and linen were comfortable and lovely to sleep in and the hosts make an exceptional flat white in the morning! you must go and get one from the office.
Nothing could have been better, apart from staying longer!

My stay at Merivale Manor was my first introduction to New Zealand! The facility and customer
service was outstanding. There was such attention to detail in my room - it was comfortable, spotless and had lovely touches. The breakfast was also a highlight—I felt so welcomed and prepared for my hiking tour this week. I highly recommend Merivale Manor and thank the owners and staff for a beautiful experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect, could walk to the places we visited. Amazing shops down the road. Room was perfect. Very comfy bed, and having an electric blanket was 10/10. The spa bath was a great asset.
We weren't staying longer. Would love to have had a look at the library in a manor house.

Lovely comfortable bed and room with fully equipped kitchen area and nice luxury touches, immaculately clean. Very friendly and helpful owners. Great location with nice shops and restaurants a few minutes walk away.

The motel unit is close to the Christchurch centre and close to the Merivale Mall. The motel complex presents itself superbly.
The bathroom is a bit cramped.
