Cost and clean
It is rather outdated. Though everything was clean. The towels weren't replaced each day. But it wasn't terrible. Would stay again. Just don't expect a modern unit.

Location was in walking distance to stadium for a concert and good parking outside the unit. Price was reasonable.
I was aware the property was dated, but after loosing an item I had to search under beds and couch cushions. This room required a major deep clean as rubbish under main bed and very dirty under couch cushions.
Bathroom window did not close. Towels were very thin and appeared to be very old.

Check-in was easy and straightforward. The room was a decent size and beds were comfy. We didn't use the kitchen facilities.
This motel is very old and outdated so don't expect anything fancy. The worst part was the shower. After getting soaked at a concert from the pouring rain a nice hot shower would've been great. The water dribbled out and the temperature constantly changed. It was the worst shower I've ever had in my life. It was still the same the next morning.

Good location for overnight before driving south from Christchurch, close to my friends' place and not far from airport. Easy parking.
It is a bit old but it is still clean and is possibly the cheapest place in Christchurch that isn't a hostel. It does the job very well for that price.

I will never book this motel again, and others should be extremely cautious—this is how they justify charging us without using the room.
Even after clearly explaining that our son’s international flight was cancelled and that we were driving four hours to Christchurch to receive him, the motel refused any flexibility. The staff member on the phone was unprofessional, rude, and completely devoid of empathy.
A second hotel immediately understood our situation and helped without hesitation—highlighting their compassion and just how unreasonably rigid this motel chose to be.
Simple questions about their real costs and their urgency to rebook the room were left unanswered. This behaviour falls well below the basic standards of hospitality in New Zealand. This has never happened to us before through booking.com in a decade—yet instead of working with us, we were met with repeated references to “standard industry practice” that simply didn’t apply to our case.
We hope this management reconsiders how they treat customers facing genuine, uncontrollable travel disruptions of themselves and their family members. I do recommend thinking twice before choosing this place, who have chosen greed over potential clients.

It was a bit tired but clean and the bed comfortable. We found the location very handy to what we wanted. The reception lady was bright and engaging. Had all Sky TV channels as well which was a plus. Good value for the cost.

Had all basic amenities. Sky TV was great. Was spacious and good supply of hot water.
There was a terrible odour coming from the kitchen as soon as we walked in. Couldn't quite put my finger on it. Closing the kitchen door seemed to stiffle the smell a bit.
Very, very noisy due to traffic noise as we were given the first room closest to the road. We were kept awake for hours. Some places are insulated from the traffic noise, and this was not.
Furnishings were very outdated which looked like they were from the 60's and 70's. Whole kitchen needs a refurb and modernizing. Still did the job though.
