- Location amazing, 10 min tops walk into city.
- Great coffee bar Pettah around the corner
- subway next door.
- Parking available at no cost.
- Hot water in shower.
- Can drink tap water.
- Bathroom - no fan an all had to leave toothbrush in room to dry much condensation.. Large but window had no handle and was left open when we would come back from being out. Had to ask twice for someone to close it as it was in a locked area in the back which we couldn’t get to and when we asked same person at reception, they made out they didn’t know about it which was odd, as it was the same person on reception and we were only there for 3 nights. AND we were staying next to reception.-
- Beds - While you can sleep on them with little issue they are spring loaded. When you sit on them you sink.
- Couch - couch also sunk.
- Room - stuffy had to keep windows open.

Other peoples hair in the shower. Carpet didn't seem clean. Cleanliness could be much better.

Location is great. Clean and well appointed.
Shower is very small. Decor just getting a bit tired. Little bit of noise from neighbouring unit and construction noise first thing in the morning.

Easy parking for our 12 seat bus with an easy walk to the city center was the main reason for selecting the Central, The staff were pleasant and helpful, most fellow guests were there for similar reasons and the atmosphere was appealing. The beds are good and the rooms were clean, and the motel is good value.
The motel is clasic 70's the web site impressions are slightly misleading, but if you read the reviews and look at Google street views as I always do you should have nothing to complain about.

Spacious room. Comfortable bed and great shower. Very close to the new stadium and an easy walk into town.
A bit dated but expected that for the price.

We enjoyed our stay at City central. The manager and staff were very accommodating with any requests and super friendly. Our room was clean and all amenities worked well. Only a short walk into the main area of Christchurch and with the new stadium opening it will become a great place to stay.
