Great location.
I think that it needs to be made very clear to guests that the bunks are assigned. They can’t just choose one. Also, the letters on many of the bunks have worn off, making it hard to figure out which bunk has which letter. Both nights I stayed there, someone in the room arrived and found that their assigned bunk was already occupied.

There was a loud party at the bar and the music continued til late. My daughter found it hard to get to sleep.

-bathroom was nice and clean
-one receptionist allowed me to store my luggage one day prior to my check in
-out of 3 toaster only 1 worked
-since the room is pretty long and theres only one window at the end of the room you dont have much light nor fresh air if youre at the other end of it
-kitchen is a bit small for the size of the hostel and the amount if people using it

The noise. Like everywhere else in New Zealand nothing is insulated… and the people think they are alone so they were talking super loud at 6am.
