The room was clean and was set up as we needed with 2 twin beds. The owner was super friendly and helpful. They ran a shuttle bus to the car hire which was cheap and helpful. It was close to buses into christchurch

We wrapped up our four-week campervan adventure around New Zealand with a one-night stay at Airways Motel, and it was the ideal spot for some last-minute wind-down. Arriving early from our final drive, we were thrilled to drop our bags at reception while we explored the nearby area—no hassle, just helpful vibes from the start. The motel room itself was surprisingly spacious and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a comfy overnight: a very comfortable bed, tea and coffee-making facilities, a handy microwave, and a fridge for our snacks. But the real standout? That super shower—piping hot, powerful pressure, and pure bliss after weeks on the road. Most importantly, the on-site washing and tumble dryer facilities were a godsend for our laundry admin. They’re well-maintained, efficient, and great value for money—perfect for travelers like us. Owner Jeff was the cherry on top. No on-site restaurant? No problem—he eagerly recommended local gems, pointing us to Avondale (about a 20-30 minute walk away). We went on a Tuesday and devoured their fantastic steak deal—100% recommend! They even offered a free pick-up back to the motel. How thoughtful is that? Location-wise, it’s spot-on for Christchurch Airport. Our early flight was before the standard shuttle, so we happily paid $15 for Jeff to drive us well ahead of check-in time—stress-free and friendly. Thanks heaps, Jeff, for your top-notch hospitality. We’d book again in a heartbeat—highly recommend for airport convenience and genuine Kiwi warmth!

Very friendly staff. My dad was going to catch flight early morning and the manager let him to get into his room little early as I had to drive back all the way to Oamaru.
