Great location, the rooms were clean and tidy. Everything we needed was easily available.
The unit wasn't very soundproof and despite being set far back off the main road, we could hear every person talking out on the street, every car that drove past. It disrupted sleep. The main bed was rather uncomfortable. You could feel the springs through the mattress and the slightest movement disrupted the entire bed.

Staff were super welcoming and very helpful with the check-in especially as I'd arrived slightly earlier than check-in time. Rooms were a decent size. Location is great - it's about a 10 minute walk to the centre / Botanic Gardens so didn't need to stress about trying to park in those locations.
There were a couple of issues. First, not sure what the cleaning procedures are, but something had been left in the bed side draw and once I'd opened the draw, there was quite an unpleasant smell. I asked to move rooms and this was organised. This is not the Motel's fault. I had one of the rooms closest to the road. My stay was on a Saturday night and between the hours of 11pm-1am, there were car engines being revved noisily and definitely racing up and down the road. It was seriously noisy in the room. If I'd had one of the other rooms, which are located much further back from the road, this might not have caused a problem.

Great facilities for the price, more felt like renting a unit than a hotel room. The owner? Was very welcoming
Mould in the shower, Bath still had grime from the last person bathing in it, Curtains on the ranch slider were covered in black mould

I had requested a ground floor studio unit but none was available. However, when I arrived, the new lady proprietor offered me a one bedroom ground floor unit at no extra price, and I was very grateful. The unit was very adequate for my requirement….a one night stay,….. but I felt it lacked comforts which would be needed for a longer visit.
Only the reservation I have stated above. This was one of the newly renovated units and the colour scheme was tasteful.

Location
No soap, body wash and shampoo dispensers in the bathroom were empty too. Instead of a garden view room I got a road view. Noisy road nearby make it difficult to sleep. Also no air conditioning in the room

NO STAY HAPPENED This was the first time I have had an issue with a booking.com booking after it being my go-to for booking in many years! To be fair, there was a misunderstanding due to change of management earlier this year and the property was not yet ready to accommodate tourists after such change. Having said that, the property did try to accommodate us nonetheless but we ended up changing our booking somewhere else and the management made sure we weren't charged unnecessarily as a result.
