While my stay in Christchurch was short, I am so grateful to have found this place, and would definitely stay again if I return! It's just a 10 min. drive, or 20 minute bus ride (with the stop just down the street), to center city. Great wifi and netflix on the TVs. The rooms are private, clean, and spacious, and most of all, the owners of the motel (Nina) are exceptionally kind and responsive hosts. They are truly there to help. Nina drove me to and from the train station (free of charge), made sure I had fresh milk for coffee/tea, and when my travel plans abruptly changed, she helped me to adjust my accommodation with her last-minute. These things mean a lot to a solo traveler like me. I can't say enough good things about Nina and this place, it's not often you find such warm, helpful hosts in this industry. Highly recommend!

Walking distance to the stadium and not too far from lots of shops and restaurants. Right around the block from a bus stop. Front desk guy was super friendly and knowledgeable. The room had everything we needed and we really enjoyed our stay!

Location was great and staff/ manager was friendly
The bed was small...the shower over the bath was not hot just luke warm and pressure was only okay.
The toilet faces the bath with barely enough room to sit on without hitting the bath.
The bath fitting looked dirty and rusty not welcoming...just old basic small unit..The noise from above room filters and can easily hear television and people walking.

Had booked with full details given of 2 x adults and 2 x teenagers. Ages given. Needed the pull out sofa bed as only 1 x queen and 1 x single. Booking stated that. When asking for bed sheets and blankets for the sofa bed, the host almost told us off and said we should have specified that we needed the extra bed. I told her we booked for 4 people, and it didn't seem to compute, and then the sofa bed was so uncomfortable my son couldnt sleep. When commenting on it, the same host argued about how comfortable it was. The unit was very small for 4 people once the sofa bed was made and pulled out. Really great to have the dogs there though. And very accomodating for the dogs.
