I like the style and decor of the property, the delicious breakfast, the coffee/tea/honesty bar options, the robes, the hot showers, extra towels and wash clothes. I also liked the location, which was safe with beautiful homes and close to walk to everything. Sophie is a great cook, she was lovely and made me feel heard and cared for. It was a very nice stay.

Quirky, arty B & B in large and lovely old house. Paintings, sculptures and photographs made the facility fascinating and homely at the same time. Mix and match rather than a sterile modern look to decor. Off-street parking easy. Excellent cooked breakfast included. Extremely comfortable bedding, excellent WIFI, TV, tea/coffee making equipment in suite. Excellent location near main street of Ponsonby, close to restaurants and shops.
Nothing at all to dislike.

The warm welcome we received from Sophie; the decor of this beautiful old villa; all that was available for our enjoyment: a large choice of drinks hot and cold, books, magazines etc.; the peace and quiet.

Moongazing outside the villa. Large comfy bed. Clean facilities. Complimentary drinks
Bathroom light too bright. If I went to loo middle of night it'd wake me up. I plugged in the desk lamp. Much gentler at 3am :) Milk missing from fridge.

We stayed at the Great Ponsonby Arthotel twice during our stay in New Zealand and loved our stay each time. Very friendly staff who prepare a great breakfast every morning. The rooms are cozy and vintage designed with a kitchenette and refrigerator. Located in a quite neighborhood near to the hipster Ponsonby Road. Charming garden with places to sit and relax with a glass of wine.
