Often I need to place risers under bed to get a hoist underneath but the bed in the living room had legs that could fit the hoist. The room was considerably larger and the layout was great. Bathroom was superb as well.

good shower, comfy bed, good location, plenty of car parks
no office staff - office was being done remotely -not good. Cleaner was giving out the keys and not communicating . manager was at the other end of a phone somewhere. They seemed to have no idea who was to be there, Had 4 lots of people turn up for rooms and had to keep telling the cleaner to serve the rest as he kept walking away. Small notice taped to the wall said $30 fee if you didn't wash the dishes in the room -notice was not in all the rooms. Doors looked like they had be jemmied open at some stage and were patched up by a "Blind Man". unpainted patches on walls in bathroom. Have stayed here before but dont think I'll be back as it feels like it is on the downward slope- pity because it has great potential with location.

The room is comfortable. We booked this motel as it was close to the venue where the tennis tournament was held. And the motel was close to all the amenities
1. Check in process - the reception is unmanned and was not informed about the check in process as the reception was unmanned. On arriving at the motel, we saw a paper at reception that it is unmanned all the time and there will be no one available. I didn't have a local number to call the number provided on the information. I had not received any sort of information from the reception beforehand either. Didn't have the best checking process.
2. Cleanliness - for the 7 night stay we had, our bedsheets were not changed for a single day nor the room was vaccumed. I asked the cleaner to do so, and she brought the vaccum cleaner and asked me to vaccum it myself! Only the towels were changed and bins emptied. If not everyday, the sheets should have been changed atleast once every 3 days.
Overall, a comfortable room but would have expected better service and cleanliness for the amount paid for the motel.

The property was clean and tidy and the location good for us.
The reception was not attended, I think this is standard here. We were OK although the lack of any contact face to face was a bit unusual.

Checking in is awkward but i have stayed here a number of times so know the drill. What i was not expecting when returning to the room for the night was to be met with hundreds of cockroaches - running out of the furniture, along the floors, the walls, the shower! I was woken multiple times during the night to them literally on my face. I also had someone elses hair stuck to my foot after walking through the room. I sent a complaint message to the property and they responded with an apology.... and let me know they had called pest control. Sorry but an apology simply isn't good enough.

Clean, comfortable, warm, kitchen had everything, big TV, big walk in shower, checking in and out was straight forward.
WIFI dropped out a few times and the outside of the windows needed to be cleaned.

Good price. Beds were comfortable. Nice warm shower. Carpet and surfaces clean. Great location to Ellerslie shops, restaurants etc and Merton Rd Sport Centre.
Arrived in the dark around 6.30pm, no reception, collected room card entry from box but it didn't work. Rang them, instructed to change rooms (to 17)and get new card from box. This also didn't work. Rang again and was instructed to wait 10 to 15 mins while someone drives to motel to assist. After waiting outside by door for that period, someone appeared from a room inside complex who got us entry by their master key and we were instructed to call them to get entry back into room if we went out for dinner. Which we did. (Entry card was fixed perfectly the next day). Code 'brown' had been left in toilet. Chairs for table filthy. Half repaired wall in bathroom and door to bedroom. TV cables and settings disconnected which took us ages to fix.. One of the inset ceiling lights was on constant flicker. We messaged the next morning about this but no replacement happened so we couldn't use half the lounge lights. 2nd night the people downstairs partied to 6.30am.

Rooms were good for our whānau. Room enough for us all.
We couldn't lock the door from the inside so we constantly had to be alert that our babies didn't open the door and go into the carpark. A spare blanket would've been good as my husband had to sleep in the lounge to make sure our son didn't go out the door.

Rooms are spacious and pretty good value for money. Our concern with the shower was handled efficiently and to our satisfaction.
Did not like the "remote" check-in process. While I understand the need (multiple venues to manage, keep costs down, etc) it is very impersonal. I like to be welcomed by a friendly face and made to feel that my booking/stay is important, not just processed through. We had a few issues with our rooms, the card to turn on the power in our first room didn't work and the shower rose in the second room was split so that only a small amount of water came through the shower rose itself. Also, of the six complimentary vanity item boxes in the bathroom, five were empty. Only a small issue and not one we would normally mention but it did indicate a lack of supply checking by staff.
