I truly enjoyed my stay at Thupten's place. The apartment and room, adorned with beautiful Tibetan furniture, are absolutely gorgeous and feel like a little wonderland upon arrival. Every detail in the room is so carefully prepared and maintained that it makes you want to take care of the space in return. Thupten himself is a genuinely caring host who ensures a pleasant experience. This was truly one of the most unique stays I have ever experienced!

Our host Mr Thupten was a great host. He is thinking of every details in the room. The room was very tidy, welcoming and beautifully decorated in the Tibetan style. As a plus, we attended the full day Tibetan cultural tour what Mr Thupten was leading. He was a very knowledgeable and informative guide of the tour. We learn a lot from him about the Tibetan culture, eating and housing habits, religion and rights of Tibetan refugees. After our stay in the Tibetan rooms, we even could leave our luggage in the rooms during our hiking in Annapurna area.

We had a wonderful stay at Thupten’s place. We’ve been travelling for a few months and this was hands down the cleanest and most comfortable room we have stayed in. The balcony is lovely and the bed was super comfortable. The Tibetan furniture is beautiful and there are so many thoughtful touches throughout to make your stay easy and relaxing. It was so nice to be in a room that had so much care and attention. Thupten is an exceptional host and we really enjoyed learning a bit more about Tibetan culture. He also makes some amazing breakfasts, and kindly sorted out our onward travel, as we didn’t know how to use the micro-busses! Thank you Thupten for such a memorable stay.

I can’t describe with words what a delight it was to stay at Thupten’s place. He is an outstanding host who truly deeply cares about his guests experience. First of all, you can see it in the place itself, which is, by the way, gorgeous. Behind every little detail there is a careful thought (e.g. napkins are put in a special handmade box so nothing stands out from the general style). Thupten is always trying to find new ways to make your stay as comfortable as possible - new soft robes, a way to wash towels so they do not lose their fluffiness, a new washing machines with more regimes so your clothes do not get accidentally ruined, two types of pillows (feather and non-feather) in case you have allergies etc etc etc, And it goes without saying, that everything is spotlessly clean. And on a more personal level Thupten is as attentive and considerable as well. You have to be careful around him: if you accidentally mention that you are in need of something or even show some slight preference of yours - he, like a genie from the bottle, is gonna make your every wish come true. And Thupten’s kindness goes beyond his host responsibilities - he’s gonna take you to a doctor, he’s gonna arrange transfer for you (weeks after your stay at his place is over!) There are many more things I could say about Thupten and his place. But I hope you got the idea - staying at Tibetan rooms is so worth it.

I had a unique experience during my stay. The home stay is different than others due to its unique Tibetan architecture and the design of the rooms. Even Though the home stay looks decent for outside, as you get in you’ll get the nice hospitality and comfort.

The location was perfect, very close to Lakeside and our host has taken care of every possible need. The shower was wonderful, hot and plenty of water. The bed was very comfy. I loved sitting out on the balcony in the afternoon sun. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it. Very close to a supermarket, shops and we love eating and 'You and Me' just up the road. (Awesome restaurant, great menu selection and excellent meals and prices! We ate there most nights!) We could do laundry and cook if we wanted and our host cooked breakfast each day and ensured we had whatever we wanted. I love not being in a big hotel, but living in the suburbs. We recommend it here, very reasonably priced. :)

The accommodation was fantastic. The room, furnished with hand-painted and hand-decorated furniture, is a jewel in design and comfort: the bed is soft and spacious, the bathroom is private with two showers, one solar-powered and one with a boiler, electrical outlets are near the bed and in other parts of the room, and there is a terrace and two large windows with mosquito nets. Thupten is a fantastic host: he will let you use the kitchen and he will explain everything about his very high-tech home (the Wi-Fi is super strong and I've made international business video calls with it). Most importantly, he will be pleasured to talk with you about Tibetan philosophy, and he will always be ready to answer your questions in an excellent English. His knowledge of tibetan culture is prodund, and in fact he also organizes very interesting tours to get in touch with the real Tibetan people, their customs and traditions: I highly recommend them. Moreover, he will prepare delicious breakfasts for you: together we also had a great lunch, and I can't be more grateful for what I learnt from his knowledge and his kindness. Thank you Thupten, I really felt at home and if I ever go back to Nepal, I am sure I will come back to stay with you!

Thupten takes very good care of his guests. The facilities are outstanding. Bed is supercomfortable with a great mattress. My sleep there was superb. The room was beautifully furnished in traditional Tibetan style with everything you might need during the stay. Thupten made a lovely breakfast for me. He was very helpful to organise my ABC trek with a wonderful guide. Thupten has a travel company so he can help you with organizing your time in Pokhara. He took time to show me around the Stupa and other landmarks in the area. I had a wonderful time & will definitely come back?

Delicious Tibetan breakfast was served along with the masala tea and it was almost as much as lunch. Host stayed and talked to us during breakfast about a lot of stuffs about Tibetan culture.
