Friendly staff, generous and hearty breakfast, availability of tea and coffee in communal area, 4min easy walk with luggage to bus stop with 3 options of busses into city 6min drive away. Heated bathroom.

This sounds perhaps a bit strange, but it’s really a hotel in/at a hospital. But once in the room, you don’t really notice this except perhaps for that one alarm button. A breakfast that’s ok, a clean and spacious room… for us this was a good place to discover the surroundings of Stavanger.
Only small things : parking here is not really cheap but that’s often the case anyway in any city in Norway. Also the emergency helicopter landing in the middle of the night close to our room was a sudden break in our sleep but something like that can happen in any place (an accident, an alarm … we have seen it all while travelling)

The lady at the reception was really nice and pleasant.
The fact that I could not get a meal when I arrived, and the breakfast was very disappointing, I had travelled several days on a motorcycle camping and I chose to have a hotel one night for a hot meal and a cooked breakfast, I was very disappointed that I got none of these.
