Quiet, comfortable, clean, good beds, ok breakfast, very central and close to city. Ok room size. Decent Wi-fi. Welcoming staff.
Lack of tea/coffee and kettle in room. The juice and coffee served for breakfast was not very tasty.

Our stay at Comfort Hotel Square was comfortable and enjoyable, with large and clean rooms offering a great experience for our visit. The hotel's location made it convenient to access the city center and cruise terminal, while its friendly staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. The breakfast was good, and the underground public parking offered ample space and convenience. Overall, our experience was positive at this Stavanger hotel.

Close to the city center, hotel bar open at night, very friendly personnel. Public parking with charging spots under the hotel.
The breakfast wasn’t bad at all, but I’ve seen a bit more variety at other places. But it’s still nothing to complain about, the selection was good.

Good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff and pretty good facilities including a self-serve laundry. Looks like it was recently renovated and most of the money went into the lobby. Room was clean and bed comfortable.
The location of the property is such that walking to centrum and back is very strenuous, steep hills, multiple flights of stairs/ramps carved into the hills but slippery in the rain. Nothing of interest in the immediate area. Many apparently failing businesses, more haircut places and Thai massage parlors than anything else. No ATM or grocery/conveniences at hotel or nearby. A decent Thai restaurant across the street but nothing else in the area. The so-called sandwich service at the hotel is unacceptablle with half a dozen tired looking choices. Room lighting was very bad with several burnt out bulbs. Heating controls did not work at all. Better to stay in downtown area.

Breakfast was good. Bed was good for sleeping. It was very quiet in the hotel, I like it very much, nobody disturbed me during my stay in the hotel.
The lighting in the room was very bad. It wasn't possible to regulate the heating in the room. The room wasn't cleaned during my stay in the hotel. There are only 2 TV programms in English, the quality of the picture could be better. It is an old style hotel, without modern furniture. I would suggest to renovate the hotel. My overall experince with this hotel is good, but this hotel could and should be better.

The check in staff, and the process, were both nice and efficient.
Have you ever stayed in a hotel where you wonder if the designer had actually stayed in a hotel themselves? That is my impression of this hotel. First I would like to say that the staff are really nice, and the breakfast was quite good. Unfortunately other things let it down. Firstly the room. Decor is very strange, bed was very uneven (to be explained), and obvious functional issues were present. Firstly the light switches, are beside the left side of the bed only (the side furthest from the door), this can be okay if the reading light on the right side of the bed works when the switches are off….spoiler alert - they do not. Also when the switches are off, all power sockets in the room except for the one beside the light switche on the left side of the bed are deactivated. This means left side sleeping is ideal, however everyone before had the same idea and the left side of the mattress was ruined and had no support, it needing replacement months ago, the right side was normal. Another annoying thing, there is no delay from removing the key card to the lights going off…so you’d better have your hand on the door when removing the key. Entering the room is also annoying, as there is no glow around the key card slot for the lights, so have your flashlight handy. The hotel operates on a 4 day cleaning cycle, so you get two towels for 4 days. Towels are both small and thin, mine had holes in it. It looks like a sliding partition in the shower was there one day, but no longer, prepare for water to go everywhere. Breakfast was okay, but it was often out of things and in 30 mins no refills were brought out. The tables would have dishes left from the previous person, and nobody was around to clear them.
