Fantastic breakfast with a wide selection of items to choose from, absolutely delicious dinner with a lot of salads and options for meat eaters and vegetarians and lovely fika. What a treat !!! Very comfortable beds and a big bathroom with heated floors !!! Friendly, very helpful staff and perfect location in the heart of Stavanger. I will definitely be coming back soon!!!

Great variety for breakfast. Fika and dinner was also greatly appreciated, especially after a day of hiking/sightseeing/cruising. Friendly and approachable staff. Great location. Walk to the old town, shopping, bars etc,.

Location perfect, apart from I imagine Saturday night when all the drinkers will be out on the quayside - we were there on Sunday so quiet. Breakfast was good, and the included evening meals, whilst not as exciting as a restaurant, save a lot of money.
This actually ends as a like, not a didn't like! At first we were told we didn't have a water view room, despite paying for the top priced deluxe room on booking.com. They later managed to find a room with a water view for us after my wife said how unhappy I was! That made me happy - I make YouTube videos and part of them is the views from the rooms we stay in. We've stayed in Strawberry group hotels 4 times this trip and they have all been excellent

We arrived into Stavanger by ferry. The harbour is about a 20 minute drive from Stavanger. The hotel was right on the waterfront in the Old Town. Very close to shops/cafes/restaurants/tourist attractions. Breakfast and dinner was included in the price of the room. The food was tasty, well presented and plentiful. The sweet treat available every afternoon was yummy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I would happily stay here again.

The hotel was clean, cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely also.
Do not book here unless you can sleep through significant noise. We expected a bit of noise with it being on the harbour but it was so loud that we could feel the beat of the music through our bodies as we lay in bed. Reception have a huge box of ear plugs ready for complaints and we listened to other guests complaining of the noise at breakfast also.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of Stavanger’s Old Town; the view from the window—featuring the sea, boats moored at the shore, and the city skyline—was simply magical. It was one of the most beautiful views I’ve ever enjoyed while traveling the world and staying in various hotels. The hotel is clean and well-maintained, and the staff are courteous. I appreciated that housekeeping was provided only upon request, so no one entered the room uninvited. A huge highlight was the dining: a delicious breakfast featuring authentic local products (such as caviar, cod liver oil, salmon, and brown cheese), *fika* (an afternoon snack of cake with tea or coffee), and dinner, with a different menu each day. Everything was truly delicious!

The location
The reception staff was lacking hospitality skills: they messed up with the booking and type of room (no apology offered). They also did not inform that you have to tell in advance if you need vegetarian meal for dinner (included in the room rate), and when they were informed they actually did not pass this information to the kitchen. This resulted in two dinner evenings without proper service. Also, the breakfast / dinner room is rather small for the entire hotel, so sometimes there's a queue to get a table, we felt very sorry for families.
Room was dark. We were excited to have a room with a view, as we were offered one with sea view for a separate fee. Paid the fee, go to the room and it's not what we paid for. Coming back to the reception and no apology offered, had to ask for written proof that they would reimburse the paid fee later (as it's in another currency, it incurred additional costs from the bank unfortunately).
Overall, disappointed for the price paid.
