Convenient location if you’re using the train station which is virtually next door but without the noise and hubbub.
Because Norwegians were celebrating a holiday on May 17th, there was a party in the suite next door. But other than that, it was very good.

Room maid was very lovely.
Some of the front desk people really nice.
Did not like the whole feel of the hotel. Felt institutional. Did not like the dark wall paper in the room or the placement of many of the objects in the bathroom, felt unhygienic.

The breakfast was wonderful. I liked the efforts made in spite of the strike to get us fresh towels. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful.
My room, a single was the same price as the doubles for the rest of the group. Considering the size, this was unfair. There were no fresh face cloths on the self-serve trolley.

The front desk staff are amazing! All the young people that work there are so friendly and helpful and eager to make you feel comfortable at the hotel and in the city. Even though there was a strike going on with some of the service staff, we felt that everything ran very well. We did not have daily cleaning service but could help ourselves to clean linens, which was fine. The breakfast is amazing, so many choices and everything was very fresh and well cooked.

It was literally steps away from the train station so it was super convenient to arrive to and leave from. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel was close to the tram line and several restaurants and muesems.

The hotel staff was on strike. Booking.com or the hotel did not bother to inform us prior to checking in. We found out at the reception that we had to take our garbage out and get clean towels and toilet paper from a rail outside the elevator for 3 days. No room cleaning either. This is a five star hotel!!! The whole issue was unacceptable for the price we paid. Still no response or action taken from either Booking. com or the hotel. They both collected our money and fees, why would they care for our bad experience anyway?

Amazing location, very nice and comfortable rooms, and the best breakfast we ever had in Norway! Totally recommend this place! We actually booked it again afterwards but directly with the hotel. Definitely will return!
