The location was the only good point. However we were scammed by the taxi driver as it was raining hard on arrival. From bus station we paid 37$.
The property had no telephone to reach the front desk. If we needed anything we had to go down and speak with them. The bathroom has no amenities except for soap. The shampoo bottle fell on my husbands foot as it was not attached to the wall properly.

Thon Hotel Opera is (surprise!) directly across from the opera house, a great location, also very near Central Station. Be sure to walk around the opera at night - it's lovely! Our room was large with a good sized bathroom. We were up on the 8th floor, so it was extremely quiet. We arrived in the morning, intending to drop off our backpacks, but our room was already prepared, so that was a nice surprise.
The breakfast was incredible! I have never seen such a large number of items to choose from. Far too many to single any out, but everything we had was delicious.
No complaints.

Fantastic stay right next to the central train station in Oslo. It had walkable attractions like the Oslo Opera house and was close to several bus routes that allowed us to conviently explore parts of the city. We were able to check in extremely early which was a godsend after an overnight flight from the States. We even received samples of Norwegian chocolate on arrival. We would definitely stay here again and recommend for other travelers.
I dont have any negatives from my stay. Would highly recommend!

Close to many things to do and see. Had the nicest waitress at the bar and restaurant one night. Anna______ was her name.
Very warm, room was hot had to leave window open so we could be in there. No phone or way of getting ahold of desk with an issue.

The breakfast is ‘next level!’ It’s why I choose Thon above others! When other hotels cut corners, Thon goes over and above to create a breakfast spread worthy of winning your business against far nicer peers!
My shower drain was clogged. Thankfully my bathroom also had a tub with a floor drain in front of it that allowed the overflow from my shower to drain before overflowing into my room.

The location of this hotel was great. It was adjacent to the train station and within walking distance to downtown, the Opera House and the Munch museum. We had a good dinner one night in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet is outstanding. The window opened and street noise was not much of a problem.

Beautiful hotel. Comfortable room. Amazing breakfast - anything you could possibly want. Breakfast room very crowded. Perfect location - across street from train station (easy to get to and from the airport) and walkable to sites in Oslo.
Pricey but not unusual for Norway.
