The staff was friendly and the location is excellent.
On check-in, we were informed that many hotel staff were on strike and that the room would not be cleaned at all during the stay. No type of compensation for this was not offered in any way - not even a bottle of water. The room had a strange smell. I reported this to reception and asked about a possible room change - this was denied saying I had "used" (i.e.entered) the room and therefore it wouldn't be possible.

Good location. We asked to change our room and staff was very friendly about it and we got a better room. First room was without any air or sunlight. In the morning the exhaust of cooking breakfast came right into room.

The hotel is in the perfect location and is very central. It only took us minutes to get where we needed to be, or at least to the nearest metro stop so we could go to other places. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms are a great size. The bathroom and showers are also great.
Whilst this was out of the hotel’s control, they were impacted by strike action on the weekend we arrived. We weren’t told in advance of our stay about this strike action, and when we arrived we were informed that we’d have no cleaner in the room or anyone to provide fresh towels etc. When we asked if we could receive some compensation for this, we were told there was nothing that could be done, so we spent £480 for a full hotel service without actually receiving full hotel service. The receptionist was mildly rude to us when we asked about if there was any compensation or something we could have as an apology for the inconvenience. We appreciate it’s out of their control, but it would have been nice to receive some notice about this or at least a better apology when we arrived.

As a result, there was no housekeeping at all in the hotel, which in many other countries would have led to the health authorities shutting such a hotel down. No hot breakfast was served either. However, the hotel continued charging full rates as if everything was operating normally. Yes, employees have the right to strike, but I, as a customer, also have the right to receive the services I paid for; otherwise, I expect a discount. When hotel workers went on strike in Canada, we received a 35% discount and, at the same time, a bowl of fruit delivered to our room every day. Towels were still changed and the trash was taken out as well.

Receptionists are mostly nice. Location is very good, near port, city, and tram.
There were a strike during our stay, so there were no room cleaning, and no compensation. No water bottle or any minibar at all. Fridge was not cold.

Pleasant
The location is exceptional, bigger rooms than in most hotels. Bathroom had heated floor, nice shower pressure, clean white towels and comfortable sheets.
Long check in process, same feelings about check out. Reception and the bar staff is the same, although the bar is quite small and we were alone in the lobby, but had to wait longer than expected for someone to notice us and take our order (the staff definitely saw us but just didn't seem to care). Hotel outside the room seemed dirty overall, one day we saw a pizza box lying around on the floor in front of an elevator door, it was there for a half of the day. Also ran into a Band-Aid on the floor in the corridor, although it was unused, it lied there for a couple of days, didn't pick it up just because I wanted to check if someone will finally clean it up.. But it didn't happen until we left after our stay ended after 3 nights.
