Wonderful
Despite the ongoing strike everything was well, especially the breakfast. Someone on the staff looked like Basil Fawlty with darker skin, amazing. His behaviour was entertaining as well. The bartender said he'd only make the basic cocktails because he was working alone (due to the strike). I wonder how good it'd be when fully staffed.
Accidentally booked our trip when the champions league finale was being played in the city, but that's not something the hotel can do anything about.

Pleasant
The staff were excellent, the hotel’s location was great, and the breakfast was superb.
The room I got was tiny, with a window facing the inner courtyard where other guests were often hanging around, so I had to keep it closed all the time. The room was cold, with no way to regulate the temperature, and although the bed seemed generally clean, it had quite a few hairs on it that were not mine.

Couldn't cool off the room. Only one window opened, it had no screen letting bugs in, and it only opened a couple of inches. But that was enough to let in the noise of the weekend revellers until about 1 AM. Disappointing.

Great location and comfortable bed
Room was slightly on the small side. We didn’t get our room cleaned, and when i asked reception why, they said there was a strike going on. Which is totally understandable, but we weren’t told about this at checkin so was disappointed at the lack of communication. The room was nice, but would have liked a fridge in the room.

Bed was very comfortable. Location was great. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. And breakfast was incredible, exactly what I was looking forward to in Norway. Especially appreciated being able to select a full lunchbox from the buffet to bring on the train trip to Bergen, for a most reasonable price.
A minor thing: the suitcase ramp at the front entrance was difficult to use. I think it could be improved.

The hotel is conveniently located in the city centre, within walking distance from all major attractions. Many bars and restaurants in the neighborhood.
Our room was quite comfortable but we missed some space to keep clothes and small items (shelves, night table, wardrobe etc.)
Great breakfasts with wide choice of tasty food.
Unpleasant smell in corridors and staircase.

Position
Services: they accepted to allow us early check-in but then at the arrival the room was not available.
No cleaning of the room for the whole stay, we have to collect clean towels at the reception, unacceptable!
