Scandic Holmenkollen Park has opened its doors again, after extensive renovation and remodeling. The distinctive history and architecture have been meticulously preserved and complemented with modern design and solutions. The Hotel's capacity is a total of 376 guest rooms, including 27 exclusive rooms and suites in the historic Dragon Building. The Hotel also has a new and lovely wellness area with a pool and a large gym of 1,100 m2. Entrance to the wellness area has limited capacity. Age limit 16 years. Entrance from NOK 195 for staying guests, per visit to the pool & saunas. In our restaurant Holmenkollen Bistro, you can enjoy a lovely buffet for lunch. For dinner you can choose from a tasty à la carte menu, where the dishes are based on short-traveled Norwegian and Nordic ingredients. Scandic Holmenkollen Park is a destination in itself, a full 1148 feet above sea level, with fantastic views over Oslo and the Nordmarka right outside the hotel door. With immediate proximity to the Holmenkollen Skiarena National Complex, the Ski Museum and nature, you will find exciting outdoor activities for everyone. Here you have miles of hiking trails to choose from, and in winter you can go straight out on the WC trails that stretch into Nordmarka. Only minutes away from the hotel is Oslo Winter Park and in the summer you can challenge your fear of heights in one of the Nordic countries' largest climbing parks. The Hotel is only a subway ride away from the center of Oslo, it takes 30 minutes by subway from Oslo Central station to Holmenkollen station.

Stunning view of Oslo and the fjords from the hotel, totally worth the stay, even more if you book a room with a view. We had a spacious, beautiful and clean room, with a breathtaking view. The bed and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable, had a great and relaxed sleep. Fabulous breakfast, best I have had in hotels, plenty choices and freshly made varieties on the spot. The surrounding nature is breathtaking.Very friendly staff. Next to ski jump tower, don’t miss the chance at least to have a look at this great place.
We booked this hotel not only for the beautiful room with great view, but also for the facilities it offers. We had the bad luck that during our two-nights stay the hotel had ongoing renovations, without previous notice. The first night we could not have a drink at the amazing bar with view because it was closed the very noisy works continued until midnight, making it impossible to even have a drink at the other bar on the second floor. The next morning the whole bar space was closed and one of the restaurants as well. We had to re-arrange our plans for dinner and went to the city center, and actually it turned out much better - thank you Scandic :) We understand that they need to make improvements and renovations, as well as the fact that there is never a good time to do this, but it would have been nice to have a previous notice in order to make arrangements.

The view here is absolutely stunning and it's amazing to be able to see it from your hotel room! Additionally, my husband and I arrived early from our ferry and were thankfully allowed by the staff to check in early. During our entire trip, the staff was nothing but kind and courteous.
If you are arriving by public transportation, be prepared for quite a walk uphill. The hotel is much easier to access by car otherwise.

Such a beautiful hotel with fascinating design. The old and new created a rich history. The location above the city and the fjord was stunning. We had a great room and it was a nice 0.5 mile walk to the T-bann (tram) that took you down the 1,000 vertical feet next to the Olympic Ski Jump to the city center below. Easy parking in the packing levels below.
This comment is true to almost all of Europe ... the large thick comforters are hard to regulate given the rooms often are hard to manage the heat. An open window doesn't always work.
