Scandic Holmenkollen Park has opened its doors again, after extensive renovation and remodeling. The distinctive history and architecture have been meticulously preserved and complemented with modern design and solutions. The Hotel's capacity is a total of 376 guest rooms, including 27 exclusive rooms and suites in the historic Dragon Building. The Hotel also has a new and lovely wellness area with a pool and a large gym of 1,100 m2. Entrance to the wellness area has limited capacity. Age limit 16 years. Entrance from NOK 195 for staying guests, per visit to the pool & saunas. In our restaurant Holmenkollen Bistro, you can enjoy a lovely buffet for lunch. For dinner you can choose from a tasty à la carte menu, where the dishes are based on short-traveled Norwegian and Nordic ingredients. Scandic Holmenkollen Park is a destination in itself, a full 1148 feet above sea level, with fantastic views over Oslo and the Nordmarka right outside the hotel door. With immediate proximity to the Holmenkollen Skiarena National Complex, the Ski Museum and nature, you will find exciting outdoor activities for everyone. Here you have miles of hiking trails to choose from, and in winter you can go straight out on the WC trails that stretch into Nordmarka. Only minutes away from the hotel is Oslo Winter Park and in the summer you can challenge your fear of heights in one of the Nordic countries' largest climbing parks. The Hotel is only a subway ride away from the center of Oslo, it takes 30 minutes by subway from Oslo Central station to Holmenkollen station.

Amazing location and views. Lovely lobby and great gym. Bedroom also good size. Breakfast was large and varied.
Nowhere did it state that the pool and sauna had limited opening hours or that they were not accessible to children ever. It was the main reason why we chose to stay there and despite complaining to the property, they were not at all apologetic about the clear misrepresentation.

The hotel building and its surroundings were absolutely stunning. The breakfast was vast, lavish and offered an excellent selection. Our room was clean, comfortable and functional, providing everything we needed for our stay.
Despite arriving at the official check-in time of 16:00, we had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready. After 30 hours of travelling and arriving drenched from the rain, this was particularly frustrating and a disappointing start to our stay.

This place was incredible. The view from the location was breathless. The room was spacious and comfortable, the crew was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the area and could rest on nice beddings. The facilities are new and the restaurant excellent. We recommend staying there, it is an experience on its own.
The only thing is that the restaurant can get quite busy and not so sure to serve you if you arrive too late, there are not many other options around.

While slightly out of town the location & views are amazing, hotel lobby and restaurants are spacious which is great for families. Gym is awesome
Cleaning is a bit borderline - seems like outsourced with too few resources. Also that pool is not available at least for one/two hours for families is a real shame

The view to the oslo fjord, the warm and welcoming lobby, reception and bar. Breakfast options were also good event with some vegan option. Safe luggage room. Nice people. Also smart tv and the restaurant was perfect.
More fresh fruits and veggies for breakfast would be nice. Soy joghurt too.
