This is quite a unique property with a lot of character! Beautifully designed, I would describe it as very cosy, stylish too. Such a peaceful, quiet location, zero city noise. Lovely spa. Food was 10/10 too. And an amazing restaurant manager, very knowledgable and friendly.
My only regret is that we only stayed 1 night!

Nature surrounding the hotel
The ventilation in the hotel did not work. Bathroom was humid and with no ventilation it was pretty unpleasant. Door to the bathroom was impossible to open without force. There was food leftovers in the drawer that was disgusting. Staff was trying to help to find another room - but in 30 degrees heat and no aircondition it was hopeless. Breakfast was mediocre. NOT WORTH THE MONEY I PAID. Next time I will find another hotel in Oslo.

The location is nice and scenic but a bit secluded so can feel a bit vulnerable walking home from the metro at night. Staff were lovely
There isn’t much to do at the property. The sauna was under maintenance so we could use only the pool but apart from that there isn’t much going on. Again the location is nice but very far out from the centre. Had we known we would have changed hotels as we were staying for a wedding but extended our trip. Perhaps a bus or lift service in the evenings home from the metro would be good as it felt a little unsafe. The food is also a bit disappointing. Everything was just nice, not wow

The single room I stayed in felt like a little doll house, it was so cute and charming. The location is obviously beautiful and it alone made the rather long travel time by the metro plus walk worth it. Breakfast was delicious and had a great view of the surrounding mountains and forests, and I also loved the fireplace by the lobby that was always lit whenever I saw it.
There was no room cleaning or change of towels even though I did stay for 2 nights. It wasn't a huge issue, but it felt surprising for a 5-star hotel. It's also worth noting that since it is a old-style wooden building, noise travels very well through the walls. I was unlucky to have some room neighbors who loved chatting in the corridor outside, but obviously this is no fault of the hotel itself.

The location,just outside the centre of Oslo in a beautiful surrounding in the middle of nature.

Exceptional hotel, everything is great. The decor is fantastic - the hotel is beautiful and displays art in the common areas, there are many sitting areas with comfortable chairs, books, fireplaces etc. and even a grand piano in the annex, where we stayed. The pool and sauna are one of the best I have tried.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, ours had a little patio area with a view of the surrounding woods.
Breakfast is varied, copious and delicious - and served until 11 am at the weekend!
Location is also great - in the mountains but easily accessible from the centre of Oslo on the metro.

breakfest good; room - more or less ok; location - only if you have a car.
The room and bathroom are for a beautiful demonstration, not for normal living. There are no hangers in the closet; there are no hooks for towels in the bathroom.
