The Hotell Bondeheimen was a great choice for us. We had a lovely quiet room. Daily room cleaning was really good and requests were handled quickly. The front desk staff were friendly, informative and helpful, especially Tommasino. We enjoyed a good breakfast with many choices. The restaurant in the hotel is famous for its Norwegian cuisine. This is the 125th year of operation. Congratulations! It was so nice to have a small fridge in our room. The hotel was close to the National Theatre and all the train, tram and bus routes. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the Opera House.
The bathtub needs a bath mat to prevent falls. A safety bar would have been nice to hang onto. Because the tub is higher than usual, some support would have been nice (especially for 70 year olds!)

Location, location, location. Rooms were quiet. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good.
I liked everything but if I had to pick something, Rush hour breakfast was a bit hard. Not enough tables to seat everyone and you have to wait for a table.

When we checked in, staff described this hotel as a "traditional" and "Norwegian". No doubt. Friendly, helpful staff, excellent, central location (excepting the security detail surrounding the state funeral that coincided with our stay), good communication (about how to work around the aforementioned), adequately sized room, clean, good breakfast.
Some worn furniture in our room, a bit of chaos at breakfast.

Best location, normal breakfast, room is fine, except for noise from upstairs. The neighbor moving chair, withou tapet, creating a striking noise, and there is no way to deal with.

The location was great. A reasonable walk from the train station. In the middle of everything.
