Beautiful building, quaint rooms, nice breakfast spread, pleasant staff! A great stay and we look forward to our 2nd stay towards the end of the trip. it will feel good to have a familiar place to come back to!

Beautiful hotel & surrounding neighborhood, great front desk staff, convenient location, easy to take the tram to Vigeland Park, very safe neighborhood to walk at night
1. We stayed at the Home Hotel Folketeateret & thought the food at Hotel Gabelshus would be similar but it wasn't. Dinner at Hotel Gabelshus was subpar & bland. For the price, the food should have been better. We ended up eating out 2/3 nights.
2. The sink was too small
3. The water leaked out under the shower

The breakfast was great- plenty of choice and all very fresh. Access to hot drinks at anytime was a bonus & appreciated. The evening meal was very good too.
The bedroom was a little on the small side but the bed was very comfortable

The welcoming staff and delicious meals truly make you feel at home.
The lift is a bit small, but I completely understand that it's an historic building.
