Great hotel in such an amazing location. The food at both the restaurant and the pub was great.
Friendly staff who assisted with bookings for activities. The hotel is located within walking distance to shops and cafes.

Exceptional
Loved everything about this property, located perfectly within the center of Longyearbyen. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Our rooms were fantastic, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. The breakfast served every morning was delicious, best hotel breakfast I’ve had in a while. The nearby pub and restaurant attached to the hotel was also a great place!
Honestly there’s nothing I can say that I didn’t like about this property. It was perfect.

Wonderful
I loved the views from my room. The hotel's location was very convenient: next to the airport shuttle stop, close to restaurants and shops, and one of the main stops for the tours.
The staff at the hotel were some of the best I’ve met. I forgot to ask for the name, but there was an amazing Brazilian lady at the front desk who wasn’t only super helpful and kind, but also cared about the details, such as setting up my start package and showing me how to use my shower.
Thanks for everything
The bathroom had a bit of a bad smell.

Very Good
Great hospitality staff, especially the bartenders, breakfast staff and housekeeping. The breakfast was pretty good, and the location cannot be beat. From proximity to Mary-Ann's Vintergarden, the Svalbard Museum, the Husky Cafe and the main drag through town, this is the perfect location. Easy pick up for activities, and easy to walk through the town from here (bring your cleats). The bar had some of the best pizza I've ever had in Europe, and the Svalbard beers are all fantastic.
You have to bring a water vessel with you because the water isn't safe to drink. We think they should supply each room with a carafe or something that you can fill when you're out in the lobby. We had a small refillable coffee container that we constantly had to run back and forth to fill.

Good
Best location. Amazingly friendly staff. Jacuzzi and sauna was a nice touch although not free which was a shame
Everything is expensive here but their restaurant for evening meal was beyond justifiable for the price.

Very Good
We loved the location and the staff is amazing.
I had done my research prior to arriving. The hotel sent me an email regarding upgrading to a suite for $20.00. Luckily I always read most of the reviews on Booking.com. I had read the suites were annexed across from the hotel and there was no elevator. Most everyone agreed it was better to stay at the hotel. The food was very good in the restaurant and pub.
It's my theory that when you book through a third party at this hotel you get one of the older rooms. I never thought to mention when checking in that we hold premium status with Radisson. Our room was not great, it was very old and worn. Our TV didn't work the entire visit. We were told that there was a problem hotel wide and that it was difficult to fix. Since we spent Christmas there, I think there was less staff and a very light maintenance crew. In the evening the smell of sewage gas was quite strong in our room. Possibility since we were one floor below the reception. Seems the rooms above us had been renovated. We were there 5 days which in my experience generally gets you a nicer room. The bed was OK, however the pillows were flat. The food was expensive, which is understandable since everything needs to be shipped in. Since the one bus to the airport follows the flight schedule we asked for a late checkout. It would have cost $29.00, but since I was a premium Radisson member the fee was waived. That's when I realized I should have mentioned I was a member when we arrived. They should have asked at arrival, but I blame myself for mentioning it.

Exceptional
All staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well organized even with lots of people. Rooms were comfortable and warm. Plus, the block out curtains were good.
Restaurant for a nighttime meal was a bit expensive. Good menu, but more expensive than expected.

Breakfast was a little poor. No sausage choice and very low choice. Fish is too salty. Coffee is not delicious.

Location was very conveniently
They have the cigarette receptacles outside the main entrances to both buildings , so you have to walk through a gauntlet of smoke upon entering and exiting. Quite surprising given the plethora of studies about impacts of second hand smoke. There are ample available areas to locate the devices away from the entrances. The family room unit I had was quite noisy. The walls between this unit and the adjacent are not soundproofed at all. Additionally, the vibration and noise from nearby stairs to the lower level were a constant reminder of the lack of proper design and soundproofing.

Location
1. It's not that we didn't like but this is for future guests: suite rooms location are not in the same building. It can be not easy for people with walking problem. Especially if you get room which is not on the ground floor. You have to walk up to the other building, take off your shoes, walk up the stairs to second floor with your suitcases.
2. There was a 'surprise' for us when on our 2nd day, we were in the room, someone opened the door and showed his card that he just got our room for his stay when we still had one more night to stay. He went back to the reception.

Nice location close to restaurants and grocery store
The only space to socialize was in the lobby area which the majority of the time was full with tourists waiting for their room or their boat/aircraft.
