We used it as a last minute option due to a ferry cancellation. Arrived after midnight. It was a room with private shower in a 4 room complex. Good breakfast.
Felt like a container hostel. Was a bit challenging to find the room in the dark.

Exceptional
Nice concept with multiple buildings. We lived in D (with a shared kitchen for 4 rooms of different guests). Despite the high season and almost all families were with kids, it was completely silent at night.
Good breakfast with a fantastic view.
Pizzas which can be ordered at evening are very tasty.
Multiple chargers for EV are available.
The room itself is very small. But it was clear from the description and wasn't a problem for us, because you can leave some not necessary luggage in a car, use small shared hall etc.
For the price, it's acceptable

Lack of communication between the workers, we're promised a room which they didn't manged to allocate us because of litte or no communication with each other, every time I took contact my previous message hadn't been forwarded.

It's nice and simple. This can be a plus if you only really need a bed for the night(s).
Breakfast was simple in the bad way. Not much to choose from, just the utter most basic of regular Norwegian breakfast food.

Good price when in need of more rooms for a big family. Breakfast included. Lots of activities to do outside.
This is not really a hotel, but student accommodation. Good to know, so you know what to expect. Only had the NRK channels on the TV. Breakfast is included, but do not expect anything fancy. Only single beds, so you have to refurnish and push them together if you want a double.

Location on ocean was lovely
Booked on booking and no mention of shared facilities. The room was 40 degrees Celsius. The price reflected a 4 star hotel yet delivered a hostel experience. You should be ashamed

Clean and comfortable, good for a simple overnight due to a late flight for a work trip. Looks like more facilities and an active environment to explore. Looked particularly suitable for families on a budget. Lots of space.
Lighting in the room is pretty grim. Low-cost partition walls. No soap in the shower.

Breakfast was good, location is good for family on a camping trip.
There are 2 washing machines but only a dryer so it is impractical for more than 2 people washing at the same time. Ping pong table at the gym was unusable.

Wonderful
Ansgar Summerhotel offers a comfort stay. I had a 2 person room for myself. The style is a bit outdated and nothing fancy, but all is clean. I arrived around midnight when the reception was no longer available, but could pick up my key and instructions via a codebox. This worked fine. In the morning I found out there was a fitness room. It was the best equipped fitness place I've ever seen in an accomodation and no-one else was using it. The breakfast was basic but well organized.

Location by the sea and not far away from the zoo

Wonderful
Staff was nice and friendly and location is very nice as well, tested even swimming in nearby fjord. Breakfast delicious and view from caffeteria beautifull - very good hotel and looking forward to next year to use it again :)
