Location, staff, interesting layout
No night light in the bathroom, no locks on the doors and rain in the courtyard/on roof kept me up all night and it was just a drizzle but the sound on the deck was like popcorn in the microwave

Very good breakfast and dinner. Dinner included was a total surprise. It was a simple meal but sufficient. Three salads were a nice bonus. We always appreciate veggies while traveling. Great location, near everything

Everything is ok.
The topper on my bed. It was not a mattress just a thin topper which shifted badly and I slid on the floor in the morning bruising my buttock. Restaurant was short staffed.

I love the location and the rooms feel modern and comfortable. We were surprised to learn that dinner was included as was breakfast.

The location was great if you want to experience the main harbor, fish market, shopping and funicular. The breakfast was very good the dinner was nice.
Our room was a little dark and no AC. You probably rarely need AC in Bergen though.

We liked being close to most everything we wanted to do and see. The front staff were incredible!! The rooms were large and comfortable. Beds were comfortable.
We weren't told that we got dinner with our rooms, only breakfast. We didn't find out until the 3rd day. The food was just ok. We went elsewhere for drinks The hotel was hot which limited our ability to sleep. I would have liked if someone would have come around to check on our room or; to take garbage out. We saw no one.

The food was very bad. I recite what I told the so called chef: I have travelled for 50+ years internationally. This is the worst meal I ever had. If you should have a job as a cook it would be in a dog hotel. Your should be ashamed of yourself. What I forgot to tell him was that my experiment, 45 years ago, eating a so called river rat in Beijing. It was a tiny makeshift sidewalk restaurant with only a handful of tables and live animals in cages outside. That was better food than what he prepared in this expensive place. Stay away from this place.

Food great. Room very nice and beds comfortable. Location amazingly good, close to the old part of Bergen, the port and the funicular railway. All within very easy walking distance. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent and the gym is surprisingly good for a hotel. The room was acceptable and comfortable enough for a short stay. The breakfast offers a wide variety of products and the quality is generally good. However, the breakfast area is far too crowded, noisy, and busy, making it difficult to enjoy the experience. Another disappointment was that the espresso machine was broken . The hotel also advertises complimentary coffee and cakes throughout the day. While this is technically true, the coffee is not espresso coffee but rather a basic machine coffee made from a pre-mixed blend. The cakes are not bad, but they are essentially sugary snacks rather than a meaningful food offering.
The biggest disappointment was the dinner, which was presented as part of a half-board offering. In reality, the quality was very poor. One evening, the main dish was a chicken-based mixture that was difficult to identify and not particularly appetizing. On another evening, the only option was small, very greasy chicken wings. There was no meaningful alternative, which is especially problematic for guests who do not eat meat. For us, this did not feel like a genuine half-board experience, as the dinner quality was not at a level where we would choose to eat it. Coming from Southern Europe, our expectations may be different, but the food was disappointing enough that we ended up looking for restaurants outside the hotel instead. One final point to be aware of: rooms are only cleaned every three days.
