location is absolutely best... its clean, breakfast is great, pool is clean and not crowded (hard to find), great coffee and cakes...

Staff is kind and helpful, also swift in online communication.
My standard room had a nice view and was well equipped.
The entrance and lobby are pleasant, much better than the rest of the hotel.
I would say price is adequate. Location is good.
I found the pictures misleading, the hotel looks much better online than what it really is. It is actually quite outdated, the rooms are very small, not extra-clean and in my room there was a weird smell and only keeping the window open all the time helped. The elevator is incredibly slow and quite old. Breakfasts were very busy (likely due to groups who were visiting) and I had trouble finding a clean table to sit at. There were enough tables - but almost all of them had dirty dishes on them and there was no staff to take care of them. Also breakfast - complimented in many reviews - was for me a bit of a disappointment. It is fine, but not extraordinary.

Starting with the positives: the location is excellent for exploring Valkenburg (though a bit of a walk from the train station), and the breakfast was rich, even if a bit repetitive.
However, the negatives significantly outweighed the positives. The sound insulation is non-existent. Despite the unusually cold weather this May, the room was freezing because the radiator valve was left at 0, and it took me a long time to realize it needed manual adjustment. The bed was very uncomfortable—I felt like I was going to slide off it all night. Also, there is no safe in the room.
The biggest concern was safety. The hotel is a labyrinth with no security cameras. Around 2 AM, a group of drunk guests was shouting and banging on my door. As a woman traveling alone, I felt terrified and isolated, especially since my room was located 'light years' away from the reception. The staff should have intercepted such a rowdy group at the entrance. I didn't feel safe enough to even leave the room to report it. I would not recommend this hotel to solo travelers

Good location, close to the restaurants and town center. Good and clean room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok, with various options.
The two only things that was minor negative, was a bit difficulties with parking and that it cost very much. The second, there were no restaurant at the hotel.

Good location, very good breakfast, the room was very spacious, more than the one we booked with a nice bathtub and a very well equipped hotel bar, excellent option for evening drinks.

The hotel is in a great location for the town, not right in the centre but only a very short walk from the shops and restaurants. The room was super clean and very comfortable and spacious. Air con was there but given the time of year it was only needed to warm the room.
Bathroom was clean and very well stocked and had a bath + shower!!
Coffee machine was very useful.
Staff were super friendly
Hotel bar was very cosy for a nightcap before bed.
The nearest carpark was only a couple of minutes walk and only €12 for the whole day.
To summarise, we would highly recommend Hotel Walram
