Its a modern and cozy hotel with very friendly staff. The room was pretty big with a nice view to the street. The location is good, with a bakery, supermarket, and lots of restaurants within one block. If you are ok with walking, there are even more restaurants 10-15 minutes away. There is also a tram station 5 minutes away. They also have their own parking lot, and while its paid, i think its worth the money if you think about how difficult it is find a parking place in this area.
We had 2 issues with the venue. The first was that our room was on the 1st floor on the street side, and while that gave us a nice view, at night you could hear the cars outside. Its not so bad, but if you are a light sleeper, this will be a problem (as it was for my wife and kid). I had no issues with it. The second issue is that the room is pretty dark. There are a lot of lights, but they do not illuminate that much, so you depend on having the courtains drawn to get light into the room, but because we were on the street side, we felt we had to decide between privacy or illumination.

One of my best choices in Den Haag. Apart from perfect location, nice and caring staff, the hotel makes me feel like home with all facilities: coffee corner, reading corner (common use), and room with all amenities, so much different from typical european hotels, towels, toiletries, snank n drink (for free) and a lovely welcome hand note. Such a pretty and cozy boutique hotel. Highly recommend in town. I will definitely book Stadvilla again.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My room had a view which was nice.
The room was advertised with a bath tube, but it didnt have one. There was a free soda bottle in the mini-bar, which was opened already. The fridge was so small it couldn't even hold a 0.5L bottle.

I chose the hotel because the location was ideal, close to my work location. The room was compact but fully functional, with a good bed. Also, the windows opened fully, which was nice after a hot day.
The street below is a very busy street. Fortunately, the traffic was a lot less during sleeping time, and it was really quiet in the night.

The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The stairs are steep, no phone in the room or a way to contact front desk, no room service, no safe or locker in room, no sink in toilet, no heating, window shade does not hold, hair dryer heats up and stops after less than a minute, the breakfast is very modest, and no fridge in the room!!

Would not recommend to people who need a spontaneous booking as I was looking to check in late at night, the late night staff were not very clear in their communication and the attitude was a bit poor I was also initially given the wrong number and the room key worked but the room was occupied already, this is dangerous as I could have been attacked by a startled guest, when I spoke again with the staff they did give me the correct room

Breakfast was okay, well enough. Location is not very central, but around 20mins walking distance to main museums. The room was large enough to have an extra bed. There was a table for four and mini kitchen, even a bath-tub. We liked very much the room, hotel and the service.
