Pleasant
The breakfast was very good but never reached the heights of our previous visit over 2 years ago.
The bed was very comfortable but the room was dark.
Some of the staff are pleasant and helpful
The hotel promotes itself as being especially sustainable but all sinks in the hotel have no plug mechanism and the complimentary slippers are of the type that have a life of several 1000 years.
We were disappointed that the erstwhile relationship with Voco that offered a gym service is no longer available.

Very Good
Really liked the style of the hotel and the rooms while keeping its heritage and adding quirks in the design. The location of the hotel was excellent, close to public transport and city life, yet very quiet and quaint.

The hotel is in a former bank, and has a lovely bar underground where the vault used to be. Our room was right under the roof, so the space was limited by this. It also had a pole supporting the roof on one side which also limited the possibility of moving seamlesly around the room. Nothing problematic for 1 night stay but for longer stays, it can be uncomfortable. Location is great, street has shops and restaurants, bars nearby. City center 10 min walk - can;t get better
The bathroom is also on the small side.

Wonderful
A truly remarkable stay in one of the most unique hotels I have experienced in the Netherlands.
The property itself is stunning: the transformation of a former bank into a boutique hotel has been executed with exceptional taste and attention to detail. From the interior design to the furnishings, the lighting, and the overall layout of the spaces, everything feels carefully curated and refined without ever becoming excessive. The atmosphere is elegant, warm, and genuinely memorable.
The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide and high-quality selection. The location is another major strength: perfectly positioned in one of the most beautiful and pleasant areas of The Hague, making it ideal both for relaxing walks and for exploring the city.
Overall, this is a property that truly has nothing to envy even compared to some well-known five-star hotels.
As every review should also include opportunities for improvement, I would suggest slightly more attention to guest communication via Booking chat. My last message/request unfortunately remained unanswered.
Additionally, a bit more care in room assignment and accessibility communication would be appreciated. The room I received was actually a small loft organized over two floors, which was beautiful and original, but the need to use stairs was not mentioned in advance. In cases like this, it may be worth informing guests beforehand, as not all travelers may find this type of layout equally accessible.
Overall, however, an excellent experience and a hotel I would gladly return to.

Very Poor
First shift were great
No access to the bar area when we arrived as there was a private team meeting taking place with 4 people and a flip chart. It was cordoned off as I wandered through and nobody had the manners to let us know.
No restaurant open & no bar open ??!! Although both are advertised in Booking.com
Á very distressed lady on 2nd shift who said she was on her own so we couldn’t have extra pillows?
I blame management here. Not the lady in question. She appeared to have no support system.
Lamp on rhs of bed didn’t work.
We requested details on the room a week before arrival and received no response?!
We were put in a room in the attic although we asked for a bright room? This was quickly resolved on first shift reception. However, we were moved to a room with the TV on a wall parallel to the bed and with no extension arm to move it around and into view for both of us! How can this be possible and not remedied before now? One of us could see the TV, the other couldn’t without breaking his neck!
We had to push the bed over to the wall to get some look at it!
There was a “bed wetting sheet” placed directly under the bed sheet and on top of the mattress topper so after wondering why I was feeling damp, we found it and took it off. My first experience of such a terrible experience. Under the mattress topper, yes, a great idea.
We asked the 2nd shift reception lady if we could leave the following morning due to all the issues and we were told “No” in a very abrupt rude manner.
I couldn’t sleep and was awake from 3am until the morning. Then, Pat asked the Customer Services manager on first shift and he said absolutely no problem. We left straight away. This was our first time in Den Haag and have potential work there in the local tech industry.
The curtains couldn’t be partially pulled back as they were on some kind of automatic “full close or full open” system?? Really annoying as tried to block some of the light outside to watch the TV.

I really can't say enough positive things about Hotel Indigo in Den Haag!
Not only are the staff professional, helpful, friendly and courteous, they go above and beyond when the unexpected happens!
I sustained an injury from a fall in the neighbourhood of the hotel, late at night during my stay in Den Haag, while there for 11 days on personal business. The hotel was there for me in every way - from arranging immediate care to calling an ambulance, and getting me into it, the following day when it was apparent I needed to be treated in hospital.
Once back from hospital, they assisted in every way for 3 days with communication and paperwork with my travel insurance company - to facilitate my return home by a medivac international flight accompanied by a paramedic!
I was served meals in bed in my room during the entire rest of my stay - as well as snacks and treats - by staff who checked on me regularly!
Unbelievable care by a staff that went above and beyond in my time of need - from front desk and administration to dining service!
I am extremely grateful and would recommend this fine establishment in the heart of the city to anyone thinking of visiting Den Haag! The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable; the breakfast menu is quite varied, substantial and tasty; and the staff exceptional!
I return to Den Haag every Spring to visit family and conduct personal business, but this is the first time I've stayed at the Hotel Indigo.
However, you can be certain it's now my home away from home!
I would recommend a point of wheelchair access for guests to enter the hotel, or in case of emergency.

Very good breakfast. Quiet and cosy.
As normal on hotels, the shower is not opened or cleaned so a lot of the holes for water are not open. Also the hair dryer was missing.

Disappointing
The location is very central
The location is central which can be a disadvantage for this hotel if you get a room facing the street, especially on a weekend. We didn’t sleep almost the entire night as people are constantly yelling on the street till very late night, scooters passing all night long and the building has ancient single glass windows which do not isolate at all. The hotel is also very dirty- the carpets, elevator, toilets on the ground floor. In our room the bin was not emptied in the bathroom, diapers, sanitary napkins from the previous guests were left behind… we will definitely not return, lots of money waisted and we left exhausted…

Excellent location central to most attractions. Hotel is located in a cool historic building. Our room on the third floor had vaulted ceilings and was very spacious. Our room was right next to the elevator but was still fairly quiet. Comfortable bed
Nowhere to pull the car to unload bags. Parking is a few blocks away which isn’t unexpected in the city center
